Brunswick Golf Club - Dogwood/Azalea Course
About
Brunswick Plantation & Golf Resort is a 27-hole layout located in the fishing village of Calabash, North Carolina, abut 20 minutes north of Myrtle Beach.
It has three distinct nines: the Magnolia, Azalea and Dogwood. On all nines, you need to hit the ball straight off the tee, taking care of the fairway bunkers, some of which are fairly high-lipped. The course has quick, bent-grass greens, moderately large, and lush, well-tended fairways set amidst tall, Carolina pines.
The dogwood course lies along the waters of the Caw Caw Run amongst hardwood trees with wide open fairways. All are fairly flat with moderate rough.

Fun course to play
Played 14 holes before the heavy rain stopped play. The course is coming back from a very dry summer so there are quite a few holes with bare spots that will come back soon with more rain and cooler temps. Greens rolled consistently on the slower side which is fine with me. Staff is friendly and helpful. I’ll be back to play it again.
Excellent layout and great shape Always!
A must play, greenskeepers do a superb job here, green roll fast and true, all tee boxes and fairways and bunkers maintained excellent!
Nice wide fairways mostly and nice looking holes with some water features, rolling fairways, etc A must play!
Afternoon golf
Everything was is pretty good shape.
Couple of tee boxes were showing wear, but the heat and lack of rain last month hurt most of the courses around here.
One green had a repair on an outer edge.
A few Cups had some wear and probably should have been moved sooner.
Staff was very nice.
We will be back.
Worth the experience
Could have been the 95 deg temps, but had the round to ourselves. Bogey golfers and never caught up to anyone (no surprise) but also never had anyone behind? Made for a comfortable round. Some tees and greenside fringes a little worn, but otherwise fairways, greens and bunkers well maintained. Even with the continued heat wave, greens were soft and rolling slow.

Nice Course. Greens rolled great. Fairways a little dried out but we have not had much rain. No complaints. Staff very friendly

Very nice course. Nice having 27 holes to play as the pace is a little quicker even when they are busy.
Good challenge.
Course I’m good shape for the dryness. All good except fur getting behind two slow foursomes. Thankfully they only played 9 holes. Waiting 5 minutes every shot is not good for me.
Excellent Course - Great Conditions!!
I have played this course several times now. It is always in excellent conditions. Greens immaculate, plush fairways, tee boxes and bunkers all nice too! You can tell the greenskeeper staff cares about conditions. Beverage cart always running around which is nice also. I have played all 3 nines and all present some challenge with also giving plenty of room in the fairways.
Finally a Good Course
After two days of playing horrible conditioned courses what a joy to play a course in excellent condition thank you
Nice Course
From tee to green the course was very nice. Greens were fast and consistent. If I would have spent less time in the trees and the sand…
Course in good shape
Course conditions were great. Greens a little slow but consistent throughout the round. Fairways in good shape. Pace a little slow but reasonable for how crowded it was that day. Took about 4 1/2 hours to play.
