Thistle Golf Club - MacKay Course

Been playing Thistle on a regular basis for the past 7 years and unless I hit one sideways I’ve NEVER had a bad lie !!! Course is ALWAYS. In perfect condition and they continue to improve the course, the amenities, and the entire experience each and every year !!! All 3 nines will keep you attention albeit not the most difficult course u will play but the satisfaction after a good round is extremely fulfilling !!!

The Thistle is unlike any other course in the Myrtle area. The facility and amenities were impeccable. Efficient bag drop and welcoming staff. Really nice staff that made you feel like they were welcoming you to their home. Great range and practice green. Played Cameron/McKay. McKay was closed and my son and I spaced it. Staff let us continue to play without a hitch and laughed with us and at us at the end. Highly recommend this course.

may be my favorite course in the Myrtle Beach area. 3x9 hole courses. All are fun. Conditions are always great. BUT…..don’t go play there so I’ll always have a tee time available. LOL.

I had heard so many good things about this golf course but one has to play it to really appreciate how enjoyable it is to play and how friendly the staff is. I will be playing here more often.

Great course, great conditions, excellent amenities.

Unfortunately the heavy rains the night before soaked the course. Driving range and practice green were closed and it was cart path only for the entire day. Great layout with some very challenging holes. Greens weren’t as fast as we’d hoped for, but with the wet conditions that’s to be expected. Staff was very friendly and beverage cart was around several times throughout the round. Price is a little high at $111 but caught the hotdeal for $87 so not too bad. Would definitely play again.

Great course, staff and conditions. Generous fairways, good greens. Par 3’s have some serious length, but par 5’s are reachable with a good tee ball. Only complaint was the bunkers. we had several balls so close to the bunker walls the only options were to putt into another part of the bunker or try to hit left handed backwards.

Course was in great condition, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality round of golf!

Exceptional course layout and maintenance. Beautiful holes and amenities. Only issue was beverage cart. Saw her on the second hole, when we didn’t need anything, and not again til the ninth hole of our second nine!
