About
Rose Hill Golf Club in Bluffton is situated amongst plentiful live oaks draped with Spanish moss. There are also sparkling, crystal-clear lakes that come into play on several holes. The golf course is a part of Rose Hill Plantation, giving it a truly Southern look and feel. Most of the holes are flat and straightforward but there are a few tricky doglegs to keep the course interesting. The layout features formidable par 3s that will test even the best players and a notably difficult par 5 that measures just over 600 yards. The challenging holes are balanced with player-friendly features that make it versatile enough for a wide range of skill levels. Four sets of tees, the longest coming to just over 6,900 yards, make Rose Hill Golf Club even more accessible.

Golfer Reviews
Budget course
I played Rose Hill as a single as I just wanted to work out some rust and needed an uncrowned course so I could hit a few balls into greens. It gave me that opportunity. The fairways were long and spongy Bermuda, but they were cutting them while I was there. I think there had been a lot if rain the prior week. The greens were the most disappointing -most had little clumps of crabgrass throughout. I didn't mind, because I wasn't working on putting, but it would be an issue if you're playing a match or playing for a score.
Generally, I liked it ok. The folks in the pro shop were very friendly, and the fees were at least $25 less than other courses I looked at in the area. I also think this would be a great course if you wanted a family golf outing. The layout is sufficiently challenging. Every area needs a course like this.
Needs very basic maintenance
Greens were twice as slow as the slowest greens I’ve ever played. Holes haven’t been moved in many days (every hole edge was beat up). Every flag was on an angle due to sand in the holes. Nice layout but needs BASIC maintenance like the fairways and greens being mowed more often. Ridiculously slow greens. Putting on a normal fairway would be faster. Back 9 was long, challenging and fun, except the greens.
Great option and will go again!
I had a great experience at Rose Hill Golf Club. The course is in pretty decent condition, with well-maintained fairways and smooth greens that make for an enjoyable round. The layout is both fun and challenging, with plenty of scenic Lowcountry views and wildlife along the way. The staff was welcoming, professional, and made us feel appreciated from the moment we arrived. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into improving the course, and it really shows. If you’re looking for a great value and a relaxing day of golf in the Hilton Head/Bluffton area, I highly recommend giving Rose Hill a try!
Course ⛳️ well maintained
The course looks great greens really good. Pace of play good!! Staff were terrific. Had lunch at clubhouse excellent food and Matt bartender attentive as usual!
One Sweet Flower
Rose Hill was fantastic all around. Interesting layout, superb conditions, great pace and excellent value. Other than a few patches where repairs were growing in, greens rolled true. Bunkers were best I’ve seen in the Low Country: actual sans! Back nine stouter than front. Recommend!
Nice
We were happy we chose to play here. The course was in good shape and the staff were very friendly
Excellent course! Great layout with great greens!
Underrated course
This was our first time playing but we’re thoroughly amazed. Layout had great mix of holes and water mixed in throughout. I would have given 5 stars if greens were faster. Amazing course for the value. Highly recommend and will be going back.
Great bang for the buck
What an incredible value! I live in the area and play a different course each week. Rose Hill is absolutely one of the best courses in the area for the price. Super friendly staff and relaxed environment. The course is in better condition than other courses in the area that cost twice as much. The new management is really making a strong effort to improve the conditions, and it shows. Rose Hill has made my "permanent rotation" for courses in the Hilton Head / Savannah area. I can't wait to visit again!!!
Good value
Where near Hilton Head can you pay $30 for nine holes? Tight course, with a good bit of water on it. Course is looking up from previous years.
Nice course
Enjoyed this course b/c good layout, fairways ,traps and true running greens.
Good course
Played this course a couple of times this week, first time was after a heavy rain so CPO, range was closed and so was the clubhouse restaurant so no food offered.
Fairways and tee’s are in very good shape, no complaints there at all, greens were extremely slow though, which made for difficult putts but it is that time of year.. They do have a starter, he was very nice and provided some good info on the course, just not a lot of amenities if you’re looking for that kind of thing.
For $70 just off the island it is a no-brainer to play.
Very nice!
The course was in great shape. Reminded me of the 1990's when this was awesome. a couple of greens being resodded, but easy enough to simply move your ball to away from the sod. Overall, very pleased...and...we had a great time!

As an intermediate golfer, I enjoyed playing this course. It was nice and open. The greens on the back nine were in rough condition but otherwise I would play this course again.
