Course conditions don’t match price
Decent for a muni but could charge a little less for the conditions.
Not a Troon course
Fairways were scalped no grass, greens were plugged 3 weeks ago and still bad.
Where they didn't scalp the course around tee boxes and rough the course looks good, maybe they should hire someone that knows what they're doing, El Rio is just as bad.
Won't play there again until late july.
Silverbell
The grass that was there was watered, however, there was a lot of dirt more than sand and lots of bare spots between so that was just mud. Greens had been aerated, but that happens, so not a big issue. All traps were hard dirt or mud. Very nice staff, very accommodating. Simply said the playing conditions were just not up to par for the price.
Value golf
Really happy with a fun round of golf at a reasonable price. Enjoyed the interesting layout.

my coworkers and I had the best experience at this course. Very clean and scenic. The staff are so nice & welcoming.

Fairways were green. Greens were in good condition.
A fun City Course
The efforts that have been made to improve all of the city golf courses (seems to have started about four years ago) are evident here at Silverbell as well. I very-much enjoyed the day and even "reeled in" a respectable number of pars (for me, at least). The fairways were outstanding, and the greens were well maintained. I even sunk 3 or 4 long putts that ran true and had just enough "umph" to find the bottom of the cup. The course layout is very forgiving, and my occasional errant drive from the tee box was put back on-course to be "in the hunt for a par" all three times my driver's ugly slice showed up. The staff here is super pleasant and made me feel very welcomed and appreciated. I hadn't planned on playing on this day, but when I saw the deal that was offered on Golfnow, I put aside my chores list and scooted on over. The round ended up being one of my favorite golf-outings of the year so far as I was matched up with a band of very fun guys who cracked just the right amount of jokes, but also followed the etiquettes of the game.

This one of my favorite Tucson municipal courses. Many challenging holes with water on several holes
Don't play here until they improve the course
We were a foursome playing here for the first time. We expected the course to be similar to El Rio or other city courses. Unfortunately, we were wrong.
As mentioned in many posts, the signage here is ridiculous. We got lost looking for holes and had to ask a mower to guide us to the next hole several times.
A can of spray paint from Walmart and some poster board nailed to trees would be better than what they have.
The city should either improve the course or close it and spend the money on the other city courses.
Consider us one and done. We'll never go near this coure again.
Convenience fee??
Overall good round but I was charged a Convenience fee on both of my tee times through GN and I have never been charged this?
Course and layout
Poor course layout - sign for next tee not good. On the 18th hole you go over bridge and you are at red tees. Nowhere after finishing 17does it tell you to go to the right for other tee boxes . Very confusing would never play it again.
