Mauna Lani Resort - South Course

Played the south course for my 1st time. I haven't played much in HI but I have knocked several bucket list courses off mine, Torrey, Beth Page & Pebble, & this course is easily as spectacular. Front 9 is very playable & forgiving while the back 9 is more challenging and lots of ocean views.

Online rate was an unexpected bonus for the awesome level of the experience. Staff was cordial and helpful, clubhouse area under a little construction and nothing at the turn, but they do have a stationary cart girl at the 9th - poor Summer, digital payments were down and of course I didn't have my actual wallet/cash - she was kind enough to let me Venmo her - life saver !

One of the best on the big island! Many ocean view holes with spectacular lava rock views.

Beautiful course, especially the holes on the water. Very windy which is normal for July. Nice range with balls included in green fees. Coursevis in good shape.

What a lovely course! Awesome views. Difficulty - just right. Great conditions. The lady in the pro shop was super helpful and friendly. It's also one of the best pro-shops I've ever seen.

first time playing here and it was worth every penny. every tee box, bunker, fairway and green was pristine. the course passes through resort suites and hales so expect to see guests on their patios enjoying their morning coffee while watching you slice your ball directly into a deathbed of volcanic gravel. make sure to bring extra balls and accept that they'll have deep scuff marks from the contact. overall had a wonderful time and cant wait to play here again. AND if you're there during peak whale season (Jan-Mar), you'll have amazing front-row seats to them on the 15th hole!

Some of the most beautiful par 3s and holes along the water I have seen. This was the 114th course in the USA and Canada I have played. Course was challenging but generous and wide open.

When in Hawaii, I strongly recommend playing the Mauna Lani South course. The layout along the coast made for some of the most scenic views. The cart girl mentioned seeing whales spouting, although we did not see them.

The staff is very helpful. The Marshall carries ice-cold water and offers it to the players free of charge. The carts have ball washers and club cleaners as well as a cooler with ice and cold water bottles.
