Great lay out. Bring your driver this is not a course for beginners. Alot of forced distant carries off the tees. Which is what golf is for many blind shots even alot of second shots with still not seeing flag. This is not a old man course for lite golf with alot of ball placement. This is placement with distance. Alot of steep runoff valleys.great views down the fairways. Definitely got the feel of playing a pro course. Score card wise we were touched in a bad way but very much looking forward to playing again. Traffic was light plenty of room to let people play through.

Definitely need to come back when course is green!

Surprised the carts are still running. Cart paths desperately need work. There are sections that the tree roots have lifted three or four inches above the adjacent sections.

Played here a couple weeks ago, and came back for a second crack at it. Temps were in the low 40s, opted to play the blues again. The blue vs white tees are mostly different on the par 3s, in which they become completely different holes.

There’s some bunkers that don’t drain well, and as a result were either hard packed or had standing water. Outside of that, the course was in great cold weather shape. Greens were still quick and tricky, fairways were close to fully dormant but still gave good lies, and the rough wasn’t as thick, which actually resulted in some offline shots getting away.

Compared to the public courses in Richmond, Williamsburg/New Kent offers way better value and using GolfNow makes it worth the drive for this budget conscious golfer.

This course makes exceptional use of elevation changes and the natural slope of the land to challenge you shot shaping and shot making abilities. From drivable par 4s, to par 3s that might require driver/fairway wood depending on tee selection and weather that day, to well placed fairway bunkers that split the routing of certain holes, this course will see me again.

Great time playing on a last minute reservation. Staff allowed me to get out alittle early.

Had a great time on this course. Greens are fast and rolling true for the most part (a few areas under repair). Played on a rainy day, so not too much traffic. I will definitely play again.

I got to the course almost an hour before my tee time and was ready to go. The starter put me out 30 minutes earlier than my tee time in front of two foursomes. I was on the 1st green when they drove up to the tee box, and I never saw them again. I played as a single and was done in under 4 hours, which was great because it allowed me a little time to stop at Rosie's Casino at Colonial Downs on my way out! Back to the course--it was in great shape. The fairways were good, as were the tee boxes, and greens, which were running fast. The bunkers could use a little work and some were holding water and others had their drainage pipes exposed. But, since I wasn't in any bunkers, it wasn't a bother for me. I love the layout of this course, as it has a good variety of hole shapes, contours, and configurations. Generally, the fairways are wide, but there is some slope and elevation changes so target golf is required on some holes. The staff at the course is always nice and accommodating--from the pro shop, to the starter, to the grill. It's only 35 minutes West of Williamsburg, so always a good course to play.

The course was in great shape . The tee boxes and greens were nice and in good shape. The greens were relatively fast , the front a bit faster than the back. It seemed like we were the only people on the course , so the pace of play was excellent.

Played in less than 4 hours. Course in nice shape. Definitely play again.
