18th Hole Photo submitted by skyplus on 02/10/2013
Worst it’s ever been
I’ve played this course about 6 times over the last 2 years. It’s in absolutely terrible shape right now. Fairways are dead. You hit a great drive and your ball is just sitting in dirt in the middle of the fairway. Stop paying & maybe they’ll actually make some change! Was not worth $85. I love the layout and the course, but when it’s not taken care of, it sucks!
The course is in terrible condition
Greens are in good condition however, fairways in the rough are dried out brown and hard. Most of the sand traps are soaking wet, very disappointing.
Condtion
Over priced for the condition of the course
Tee, fairway are in poor condition
Glen Ivy Review
One of my favorite courses. Great layout and over pretty good condition. We didn’t see the cart girl ONE time in 5 hours and there was one on the course. The pin placements were ridiculous. Like the Sunday of a US Open and frankly made the course less fun to play.
Lots of dry spots and patches no. Staff is excellent and friendly. Disappointed with course condition.

1-Star Review – Glen Ivy Golf Club
I’ve now played Glen Ivy three times, and unfortunately this latest round confirmed that I won’t be returning.
The biggest issue is the pace of play. All three rounds I’ve played here have taken more than five hours, which is simply unacceptable. During this most recent visit, it was common to see two to three groups waiting on nearly every tee box, creating constant backups throughout the course. By the time we reached the 18th hole, it was once again completely backed up, just as it had been during my previous visits.
What makes the experience even more frustrating is the apparent lack of course management. Despite the obvious congestion, there was little to no meaningful intervention from the marshal. A course can get busy, but when delays are this severe and consistent, players expect staff to actively manage the flow of play.
To Glen Ivy’s credit, the greens were in good condition and well maintained. However, even well-kept greens can’t make up for spending the majority of the day standing around waiting to hit.
After three visits and three rounds exceeding five hours, I can confidently say this will be my last time playing here. If pace of play matters to you, I would strongly consider other options.

Needs Work
Couse used to be very good and challenging. Its still needs alot of work for the price you are charging. Golf cart kept cutting off when we were on cart paths. Play was very slow and course conditions were average at best. Fairways were dead in a lot of places and the greens were inconsistent. Not worth the $105 mid morning price!!
Golf day with my sons
First time playing glen ivy for all of us and we were surprised how nice it was.tucked away in the mountains.beautiful views and some tough holes..
Absolutely Awesome Round
Great times the layout is beautiful the settings are spectacular
I Love this course. We got to play all 18 holes this time . We started at 3:46 finished at 7:00
I Love that last hole.
3rd time a charm
This course was excellent many years ago, but condition deteriorated a few years ago: horrible greens and fairways. Stopped playing after 2 outings, and this is our 3rd try in as many years. It turns out conditions improved and the course is now playable even though not as good as its peak.
