Riverwalk Golf Club

I’ve been playing this course a couple times a year for about 13 years. I’ve gone from shooting over 100 to 9 over on my last round. Overall, the greens are very good. Some tea boxes are great others are very poor. Some fairways are great and some are very poor as well. They charge more than double what they did 10 years ago. For the extra money, they really need to invest back into at least fix the fairways that are poor. Somehow have Dirt even in the middle of the fairways. This should be embarrassing to the Greenskeepers at this course.

Don’t waste your money. The price is straight up robbery. Not worth it at all. They moved my tee time 10 minutes earlier without notifying me until I checked in with starter, so I was rushing to the first tee, then failed to tell the group I was supposed to join to wait for me so they took off from first tee without me even hitting. Had to catch up with them on next hole. There’s slippery mud patches in the fairways and all over that are like ice, I almost fell a few times walking the course. Also a buncha bad sod patches where they half tried to repair some spots. No water refill stations on any tee boxes and no cart girl to be found the entire round. We got told by staff to speed up twice and that we were on a “5 hour pace” when we were hitting 9th hole approach shots exactly 2 hours from our tee off time. Group behind us was never waiting on us and group in front was pretty steadily 1 hole ahead. Finished almost exactly at 4 hours. Just weird and unnecessary. I get maintaining pace of play, but if there was an issue we weren’t the reason… Overall just an unpleasant experience especially for over $100 to WALK is crazy. There’s a dozen better courses for less or same $ in San Diego county. My buddy warned me about this one and I should’ve listened…

For $125 I expected much better course conditions. I felt very ripped off. 5 holes had literally had Large open dirt fields in the middle of the fairway and it smelled heavily of manure. Tee boxes are not taken care of at all. The only decent thing about the course were the greens, the only thing that it looked like they spent any time or effort to upkeep. I understand you might have construction going on but you have no business charging this amount of money for the condition that the course was in. Even without the dirt fields in the middle of the fairway, the course still wasn't in good shape. Give a better discount or shut down your course until u can offer a better product.

Nice course but too expensive for what it is. Also, felt bad for the 4some in front of us who the starter was rushing and talking trash to. Very unprofessional especially for how much money they were spending to play.

Course was not in good shape. Greens were nice. Service was bad. Some fairways were not taken cared off (bald spots or not much green). Had to wait for starter at the podium for 15 mins.

Almost every hole had some ground under repair, or ground that will soon need to be under repair. Not a problem if you are okay with just picking up your ball and placing it on better grass, but there were a LOT of bare spots. The greens were in excellent shape, though. August 2026.

Played yesterday as one of the first groups out and had a really enjoyable round. Staff was accommodating and polite from the jump. Range balls were in decent shape with minimal cuts, which is always appreciated before a round.

Pace of play was excellent, finished in 3 hours and 45 minutes, which is about as clean as it gets. Fairways are noticeably in rough shape right now but you can tell the course is actively working on it. Repair areas are marked with spray paint and the effort shows. Greens were in excellent shape, a little on the hairier side but completely expected as one of the first groups of the day, and divots were minimal. No complaints there.

The location is honestly the biggest draw and why I keep coming back. It's incredibly central and convenient no matter where you're coming from in the area. When the fairways are back to full health this place is tough to beat.

Whole experience here was terrible, I booked a 5am tee time as a single and when I got here they told me they moved my single to 510 so a foursome could tee off at 5am….while I waited behind them all day. I even told front desk guy that I play quick and he said too bad it was the courses decision and they should’ve notified me which they didn’t. The course is also in really bad shape. Hopefully it looks better than it does right now at some points in the year this place is bad. If you’re broke this is the place, if not go anywhere else. Also there are lot of walkers here who don’t want to pay extra cart fee the pace is bad from the start.

I like the course great layout tons of potential greens are nice but if you are pay $70 a round plus the fairways should be dead especially on a signature hole amazing location but wind will be a factor as a natural tunnel through the valley
