Diamondback Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Poor Golfer
This course is now and has been for years my "go to" course. The course has always beein in exceptionally great conditions with little or no bare spots. The fairways are plush, tee boxes the same. I plan to return to the area in September of this year and if you listen very closely you will hear "FORE RIGHT".
A Quiet Gem.
Staff is always friendly. Course was in unbelievable condition 👏👏 Amazing with such little rain this month. Greens rolled true, Guessing somewhere around 10. Played from over 6,000 yards and shot 91. May play from 1 box up next time for a better chance in the 80's. A definite must play if you're near the Loris area👍🏻👍🏻

I enjoyed playing this course and will definitely return
Challenging players course
Excellent course layout and conditions. Challenging layout with tight tee shots and carry shots. Not for beginners or kids, but excellent players course

nice course, especially fairways and greens. I will play here again. It is a good value for the price

Both the fairways and the greens are in good shape. Pace of play was a little bit slow, however not bad. Good course to play a few tough holes a few easier holes and a few in between. I would definitely play this course again.
Very nice course
Staying in Myrtle Beach and saw this course was recommended pretty highly. Had 5 of us, so I set up a foursome and a single right before the foursome time. They accommodated us and put us into a threesome and a twosome, which was awesome. Played 18 in 3:40, also great. Would have been five stars, except for:
1) Carts obviously hadn’t been cleaned, can of Miller Lite in the cooler. One of our carts died on 17 (it happens and when I called the clubhouse they came quick so not a huge deal),
2) Bunkers are not great, AND
3) Told that there were water coolers on the course (hot, humid day) and there were but, two of the stations had no cooler and out of the other four or so, only one had water in it and it was a trickle. It was pretty brutal.
All in all a good day and only had to wait on a couple of tees for a minute.
Challenging Course
First time playing. Staff was being helpful and friendly. Course was tough, but I'm good shape. Would like to play it again to see if I could improve.
Great course
Not really out of the way when tge course is in great shape and reasonable in cost,
Perfect sunny day?
Temperatures in the 80's, very dry and grass was dry. Starter said cart path only? Slowed the game tremendously. Golfers walking to there ball. Didn't have the right clubs, just stupid!
