Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club

I liked the layout of the course although I felt they went a little too far with the waste areas. Greens here are elevated. I don’t mind this except when the greens won’t hold your shots. A number of the shots into the greens from our foursome seemed to land on the front half only to go through and roll down the hill off the back. Greens rolled really good with no bumps or bald spots. Good course but a little overpriced I thought.

Friendly staff, course was good, gps took me to cart path, and no sign at entrance.

The carts are new electric with gps, that helps first timers. The course has wide fairways and good sized greens. There iare limited water hazards, but mostly waste bunkers, did not lose a ball. I was fortunate to play with some locals, Mike and Tom, so a good round.

What a wonderful place! Nice course with wide fairways and elevated greens. It was quite fun and extremely well maintained. The staff here is super nice! In my opinion, that makes this place great!

Excellent experience playing at this location. Staff very friendly and the handmade sandwiches were excellent.

Very good price for hot deal tee time. Fun layout, and forgiving.

The course conditions were outstanding. I loved the elevated greens and would highly recommend this course.

Excellent shape.good practice facilities greens were in great shape.

During our N. Myrtle Beach fam pilgrimage we have a foursome that will play a couple times during the week. We have played Meadowlands previously but I cannot remember when. I was thinking it was a links style course, but was pleasantly surprised to find it in absolutely great shape and the greens were phenomenal!!! We played Shaftesbury Glen earlier in the week and their greens were not healed from the previous airation done some weeks before. Your ball jumped around en route to the hole.

Meadowlands greens rolled true and were a pleasure to play.

During our annual fam pilgrimage to N. Myrtle Beach, we have a foursome who will play twice during the week long gathering. We chose Shaftesbury Glen as one of our courses. Shaftesbury is a fairly straightforward golf course, not a whole lot of doglegs. If you like to play straight courses with a little water, some traps and very well kept the course is in great shape with the exception of the greens. Apparently they were airaited a while back. They have never recovered. It became annoying having the ball bounce along its path towards the hole. We later in the week played Meadowlands. Which I would highly recommend. Sorry Shaftesbury Glen but need to be completely honest.
