About
Victoria Hills Golf Club located in Deland has jaw-dropping beauty. Golfers will appreciate Roland Garl's vigorous bunkering, which oscillates between the expansive and the intricate, depending on the hole. An array of pot bunkers, waste bunkers, native wetlands, water sprays, bunkers integrated within a natural setting, and elevation changes rarely seen on a Florida golf course await you. Garl's course is graceful and feminine
Victoria Hills could easily be called "The State of Florida's Garden of Golf,"- inland settings such as this are virtually unprecedented in this state. Yet while the splendor and natural beauty of the property are notable, this is not simply eye candy and lazy golf. Victoria Hills, as one player put it, "is a blast to play". In any evaluation, it's difficult to imagine how a golfer would not rate a round here as one of their most enjoyable in Florida.

Golfer Reviews
Seems they let the place go
Played on a Friday at 7am:
Greens were very patchy lots of dirt and sand
Fairways were the same played. I played this course a couple years ago and it was a nice place for the value. Not anymore almost 50 bucks was a shame to pay to play there.
Embarrassing
Terrible and shameful conditions. I love this course but the ownership should be embarrassed.
“If”
If the front 9 didn’t resemble the surface of the moon, then I would recommend this to a friend. But friends are hard to come by and there is no sense in losing one.
That’s too bad because the design is superb, but because of that it is a high maintenance course. And the front 9 is so unique in its redoubts and undulations that keeping grass is tough and maintaining it is labor intensive.
If you can manage the front 9 goat pasture, the back 9 is far superior in maintenance. The design is less labor intensive and in far better condition.
The staff is kind and the practice green much improved. I don’t know enough to explain why the course is in such rough shape, but if you can appreciate a tough layout in bad shape (front 9), then gave at it.
Just know what you’re getting.
Horrible
the worst courses I have ever played, every hole was in horrible condition. I paid 31 per person and I thought it was because it was not in the city. I feel like it $10 was too much. Horrible range covered in sand. Horrible greens. Horrible tee boxes.
Overpriced
Definitely not worth they are charging for the conditions of the course it’s a great layout maybe one day it’ll be back to the way he used to be
Weekend Golf
Nice course, great staff, a few greens and fairways need some work but still a nice course. I will play here again.
Course
In opinion, the course is improving each week. Currently the traps and greens are being cleared of crabgrass/weeds. The fairways and tee boxes are being aerated this past week. Challenging course but fun.
Worst course in Florida.
Fairways nothing but unkept- a pasture and now
Spiked! Bunkers untended nor raked and empty of sand. Greens unputtable .
Double booked by GolNow and never refunded.
Why won’t you guys accredit me with my own credits that I have one your website that it’s there?
I’m ready to go back to regular booking again and stop using your services for booking.
I gain nothing from it other than issues that don’t get solved and loss of money when I have a real life situation and have to cancel a tee time.
Yikes
This place is completely trashed. At this point they’re just taking money from people who have no idea what they’re walking into.
This Course is overall friendly
Not just the people in the pro shop and the staff at the turn, but the course itself is a challenge but nothing obscure for people like myself who recently got into golf. I had Such a great time at Victoria Hills.
Great layout
I think people are a little hard on this course. Yes indeed, the course has seen it's better days. 100%. Fairways and traps are indeed rough and need help. Greens are okay, so that saves this course. They were slow, but at least they were GREEN. Ha. AMAZING layout, especially the back 9. The layout makes the course worth it. But even with the fairways being in rough condition, you can just roll the ball for a good lie. You're not playing the ball as it lies here. Heck no. But I cannot go on enough about the layout. This is a really fun course to play. Hopefully they get the money together and get the fairways and tee boxes back in good shape. As for the staff, everybody I interacted with were super friendly, so that is a huge plus. I look forward to returning! Again, just be sure to have your expectations in order. As long as your group agrees to rolling the ball in the fairway, you'll have a nice time. Again, the greens are good and that's the most important part. Give this course a chance despite the terrible reviews. As long as you know that the fairways are not the best and you have your expectations set, you will not complain and you will have a great time. Holes 12 and 13 are alot of fun. Enjoy!
Needs some love
Like so many Central Florida courses, Victoria Hills is in pretty rough shape. Good layout, just needs some love. We took preferred lies all day, and it still was a pretty disappointing round. Bald spots everywhere. One positive, the restaurant has very friendly employees and prices are reasonable.
SELL THE COURSE
This owner needs to sell this course. He has run to the worst condition in its history. SELL THE COURSE
