About
Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

Always room....
I love Chardonnay. All they need is. Sand in the bunkers and labeled drop zones where the say they are on the card.. # 7 and #15 need a 150yd marker to clear the hazard . Because they are both to easy without them ...NOT.
MAYBE if we knew if the yardages they do provide are to the front or the center of the 40yd green 🤔
It can be confusing when the fairway plaque is not the same as the stake.. still not sure if the greens are diobolicaly difficult or really enjoyable to play..
You need your A game on the greens
Wednesday Seniors Special
Really a fun track. Some of the green-side bunkers get irrigated into mud pits. No problem. Just stay out of the muddy ones. A few of the tee boxes are crowned and if you don’t pay attention you’ll pay the price. Greens were excellente! Driving range and practice green were great. Pro shop staff was aok. Very good food and beverages in the grill. We’ll be back!
Wouldn’t go again
First time. Had to check it off the list. Better off going to Napa golf course (Kennedy) for the price they charged.
Trying
Some tees appeared like they are trying to improve.
The bunkers still suck. They truly are hazards though.
Many are still nothing but mud or dirt.
They show their misguided priorities by acquiring a fleet of new electric carts while forgetting its about the golf
course, not about the ride. In my opinion 🤪
Poor shape
The course is in very poor shape. None of the bunkers have any sand, the tee boxes are uneven and the greens are bumpy
I wouldn't play there ever again
Not bad , getting better still needs work
Tee box, need some love and care... A lot of them is UN even, feels like a gopher just held a party in it.
GREENS a lot of patches of spot ISD yellow and uneven. The green rolling consistency need to bed controlled, after 18 holes I can't even grasp with ones are far sand which one is slow. It is hard to put like that
Mud traps
The only issue i have is the mudtraps.
Is sand that expensive?
They really need to do something.
Raking mud isnt the answer
Bring your A game
Your short game is tested constantly. Wedges and putter will be required to save par. Reading small breaks with speed control is a must.
I enjoy the test way more than the score achieved.
Has seen better days
Have played this course many time through the years. It seems to be getting worse as time goes by. The greens were still in good shape but overall the rest of the course is pretty run down.
Hopefully
Now that the rainy season has ended, hopefully they can do something with the sand traps.
Some drinking water shouldnt be that hard either.
