Ballyneety Golf Club

Winters day but course still stood up to conditions.Excellent staffand pro shop staff very friendly.

Made a reservation a week out from the tee time but it wasn't until the morning of that I was informed that the course had significant work being done it. Majority of all bunkers were completely unplayable, greens were completely covered in sand. Small stones were present on the fairways. Hole 2 was completely closed. Unacceptable that they can accept bookings and not give any notice.

Very beautiful and quiet course. Pace of play was outstanding and the upper deck clubhouse had a full bar and very good food with an excellent view of the 18th hole! Staff and players we encountered were all very nice!

BEWARE: If you intend to rent clubs you might go elsewhere. The clubs were pathetic and a real let down. They were dirty, beat up, and the grips were ridiculously worn out. A major disappointment indeed! Secondly, no carts available (buggies) so, we had to walk. Lots of hills and even the 20 year olds we played with were worn out by the 14th hoke. No water stations on any hole and no beverage/food cart. Just be forewarned...otherwise an enjoyable round.

Ballyneety is an excellent golf course, with very playable holes as well as more challenging ones. It is one of my favourite courses and it is in excellent condition. The Driving Range in particular is excellent.

This course has superb conditioning given the time of year. The greens, tee boxes, fairways were in very good shape. I look forward to returning.

Myself and my brother really enjoyed our round of golf here. Course was immaculate considering the time of year. Always enjoy a round there.

Disappointed with 18th hole - must have been problems with neighbors to have such a strange par 4.

Fantastic course glad we hired a budget as it’s a long course and can be very hilly. Got a bit lost on last 2 holes and lack of signage. Only down side is the distant markers are impossible to see as they as small round coloured markers on the fairway which if you are off Smythe side in rough etc then impossible to see.

A lot of work over the winter taking care of drainage , it shows by the quality of the course.

Unfortunately 2 of the fairways were closed but of the 16 holes we played, we loved it! Some really nice fairways and beautifully tricky holes. The greens were in great nick. Hats off to the green keeper.

The course was a in a good state given the time of year. Unfortunately when booking through Golf Now it was not made known that 2 holes were close as part of the winter league.

If you struggle with your hips you may want to consider getting a buggy as there are tough spots to walk.

No hole seemed the same and is exactly what you want. So despite being challenging in parts, it also does suit your average golfer.

Was very disappointed with the bland scorecards available in the golf shop. There was zero information on them. If you go into the changing rooms, there is fully coloured version of the score card with all the info that you need. #Tip
