Rathbane Golf Course

Got to course 8:15 tee off time was 8:36. Once there we checked in, the lady behind counter was very shy and looked uncomfortable. It took 15 min to check in and then another 10 min to wait for buggys to be dropped to us. Including paperwork. The group ahead of us were very slow and were booked in after us as we missed our tee time due to slow service. The course itself was very poor with bunkers full of water (they were more like water hazards) there was rough grass growing out around the bunkers and there were big divots in the greens. Poor course at prices you would pay to play on better courses

For 30€ Green Fees. I did not expect pristine, perfect conditions. But in my opinion it is not worth the price.

Pros,

- Good Fairways

- Easy to play and walk.

Cons

- no sand in the bunker.

- greens in very poor condition

- a lot of tee boxes in poor condition

- a lot of holes do not have signs for next hole. Can be confusing for first time. (first hole is not easy find)

The bunkers condition especially is inexcusable. Regardless of weather conditions.

Greens and bunkers conditions really let it down.

Very well layed out course Freindly staff and all round good game of golf

More holes and sand in the greens than grass , would expect to have been told this or at least mentioned. However the staff inside the pro shop were very unhelpful and quite rude

Friendly staff, good atmosphere, friendly members, when conditions are dry an enjoyable course to play

On hole 5 there is a gap in the fence where the near by kids come in and steal balls and clubs from your bag.

They threaten people with the clubs the stole, course is away of this I’ve been told as it’s been happening all summer and they do nothing about it.

Serious dangerous someone will get hurt soon

Good day, course plays well, greens lovely, staff very nice

This course shouldn’t be open. Every single shot your ball is plugged. My back garden was in better condition than this course. Greens terrible tractor tracks everywhere bunkers full of stones.

Located close to the city with east access and good parking. Easy to book with plenty of times available on weekends. Suitable for all level of players. Played during winter, obviously more difficult to maintain the course, but fairways very overgrown and some areas of poor drainage leading to small areas of flooding. Overall a good course and would go again.

the course was wrecked from golf buggies and lawnmowers. atrocious conditions. lawnmower also drove over my ball during play just off the green, incredibly annoying.
