Shannon Golf Club

Beautiful golf course, despite the planes taking off. The lady captain is very nice, I think she deserves some kind of an award, she has great hospitality skills. The staff are great as well, great bar service.

The start of planes every now and then does not spoil the fun of playing.

Had not played Shannon in at least a year. Very pleasantly surprised with the off course practice amenities! The course was in the best of conditions and has matured into a challenging 18 hole woodland course.

We played Shannon Golf Course yesterday, on the banks of the mighty Shannon River, it was a delight. Well groomed tree lined fairways, exellent and challenging greens. There was an abundance of thoughtful planting and wildflowers throughout the course encouraging wild life, which was a treat too.

A great place, be prepared for outgoing flights from the Airport, which added another interest.

Staff were friendly and helpful, we did not eat so therefore cannot review .

Good to get a chance to play this great course on a Bank Holiday. Excellent greens. No slow play.

This course will surprise you, a parkland setting with narrow fairways will challenge your game. Miss the fairway's, you’ll find your ball but your low punch shots will be tested. The course was in excellent condition with lush fairways and medium pace greens. The staff are welcoming, friendly and love to see new visitors. A round on their website says €80 but we booked via GolfNow for €20, an absolute bargain.

If you’re booking a trip to the west coast of Ireland then I would highly recommend this course.

Very nice course, four of us played tee time was 12:00 noon. Course was being maintained throughout the day which is great to see. I can only imagine how nice it will be to play in summer weather seen as its now the end of november and the ground was in brilliant condition. Fairways very well kept no lost balls due to leaves. Greens were imaculate. Overall i would say a very impressive course.

The course was right beside the Shannon airport, which was great because we were flying out. Course was wet due to significant rainfall. Fairways were soaked and were not cut, assuming because of how wet they were. However, we had a good time, pace of play was excellent and layout was interesting.

We got this course for 17euros it was just about worth that,the course was ok not many features greens were bumpy,the par give 8th hole was the nicest
