Mt. Woodson Golf Club is one of San Diego County's most popular courses for a number of reasons, one being the spectacular setting. Nestled in the Ramona Valley, the course is sprawls across a dramatic landscape of towering oak trees, enormous granite boulders, and sparkling blue lakes. Nearly every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and canyons. It is also known for being one of the most challenging and well maintained layouts in the area. The tight fairways and small greens demand accuracy. There are also plenty of interesting elevation changes throughout. The golf course offers true target-style golf that will test the shot-making abilities of even the most experienced players. One of the most unique features of the course is the 450-foot wooden bridge that winds through the treetops.

Weather was hot, but the course played well. Sand traps are difficult as they get watered down and contain coarse sand/dirt/rocks. Enjoyable course!

Been playing a lot of golf this past year and this is the first time I have played this course. Whoever the superintendent is he need a raise, course is in great condition and for the price there is nothing better. The only negative thing I can say is that it lacks a real driving ramge. But I am already going back next week.

Need marshalling to manage slow play

Multiple groups on the course 2+ holes behind. All playing cart golf, playing multiple balls, and not raking traps. Had 3 foursomes stacked up, but nothing done to move slow groups forward.

A friend recommended we check out Mt. Woodson and this was an awesome course. It has a really cool layout and feels like you're out in the mountains but really it's not that far. It was 90 degrees outside but there was a good breeze and lots of shade from trees and the mountains. Everything was in really great shape. The greens were smooth and well cared for. We loved this course and we'll be back for sure.

Love the layout and views

This course is tucked away down a 10 mile windy road. This course has well kept fairways and very green, specially being in Southern California. Love the layout of the course with some back to back long holes on the back nine. Small pro shop with a food shack with drinks (food was pretty good). My only complaint would be the greens are a little slow and fuzzy and don’t putt true. Overall great course and will definitely come again.
