Superb days golf
Delightful course in good nick. Nice and relaxed pace of play
South Chesterfield Golf Club
Course generally in great condition, greens receptive, nicely positioned water hazards and bunkers, scenic views, not too long although some par 4's uphill into the wind are challenging. Great value for money friendly clubhouse and good practice facilities
This course is value for money
The fairways are in good condition as were the tee boxes.A little disappointed that the greens were sanded this late on but had been rolled as well to make them faster.Staff in shop friendly can’t comment on other amenities as did not use them
Great golf experience
Went for a round and then popped into the trackman driving range .wow what a set up for golfers brand new building by the the looks of it and friendly helpful staff to help you, even got a bit of free advice from the fitting guy.If you are wanting new clubs you need to come here first for a fitting,it's well worth spending the money before buying clubs that aren't right for you.
Greens rock hard
All good except Greens a bit firm could do with a bit of water , pace of play a bit slow but that's golf some days ⛳👍
South Chesterfield
Great course very well maintained greens where fantastic fairways as well all round great experience will definitely be coming back
Green Rock hard ( water please)
Greens rock hard in need of water, tees need cutting to long, pace very slow 4 hours for a two ball
Stuck behind a 3 ball for 9 holes
The course was in reasonably good shape for the end of winter. The greens were ok.
The round was somewhat spoiled by a couple of slow 3 ball who did not let me pass for a full 9 holes.
First time
My first time playing 18 hole, really enjoyed the course. Quite easy to get confused by the layout but luckily was with people who had already played.. unfortunately the 15th green had been vandalised by motorbike but apart from these few things it was a really enjoyable day
Worth it
Still worth playing even though all temps, both greems and tees. Obviously ecpected for the time of year.
Just one gripe, the sign said no trolley's so we respected that and left them in the car.
You can imagine my annoyance at then seeing people out on the course with them as we went round. For example, 3 ball all with trollies on on the 11th as we passed on 17. and others at various holes before.
As a player that has had knee surgery and carrying clubs is stressful I think rules should be enforced by the club and players taken off the course if not respected.
Winter golf, is winter golf.
I've not rated the course condition. Because, it's irrelevant really. It's winter golf. The course is too wet to mow the fairways. So the fairway and semi rough kinda merge into one. However, it's certainly not ridiculous. Obviously your shorter irons can make you look like an idiot if you're used to taking a divet because of the wet conditions. But overall, if you're playing ball placement, which is advisable, then you can generally find somewhere to play your next shot close by. The mats to tee off are a pain. As they are on any course. However. ALL 18 greens were in use. And for greens in winter. Was in great nick, and the course and ground staff deserve a special mention for keeping them open. And in good nick. For the price you pay as well. Then overall great value, and a great course to keep the swing going and enjoy the company of your partners and look forward to the spring.
Nice Course but Super Boggy
Played today. Arrived to be told that trolleys weren’t allowed as the course had been closed all week. The course had standing water everywhere so no opportunity to take relief. A pair of wellies would have been handy today. I’m sure the course would be great in the summer, but it was a considerable challenge to get around with the amount of water present!
Great course for all abilities
Really enjoyed course for all abilities and great value for money. Would definitely recommend trying out this course.
Lovely local course
One of my favourite local courses very forgiving course. Driving range and chip and put green available
Like course but on every occasion I’ve played it the slow play is awful
Decent varied course but the slow play is terrible.
