Awful pace of play 8 minute intervals clearly do not work here. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes to do the front nine at which point we left rather then face a a near six hour round. Shame really as the course was nice.

Really good value for money you can't knock this place, started playing here more regular over the last few months and considering to join as a member
Value for money
So cheap, nice course and well looked after for a course so cheap
Gone downhill
I’ve played many times at Haigh hall, over the years this course has slowly been neglected and it now shows.
On my recent visit the council had been appointed to spike the greens, (I say this because they were wearing the attire and there was three of them, Haigh hall has only 1 greenkeeper) they did so as I’m on the fairway waiting to take a shot, once the machine made its wonky pass over the green they just left and went on to the next leaving a green as smooth as a cobblestoned backstreet road. Literally impossible to make a putt on.
After previous games there with at least one inconvenience each time, I’ve decided not to go again. They need to heavily invest in this course (by way of staffing) if it stands a chance of survival.
Great round
Pleasantly surprised at the condition of this course.some challenging holes-excellent value for money
Public course so do get all sorts on it
Overall enjoyed the round and nice beer afterwards
Golf with work colleagues
It was worth the hr drive from Wirral, course was very good with outstanding greens for a municipal, bunkers need a bit of attention I only went in 1 but was like playing off a road due to a lack of sand, well done green keepers
Knocks the spots off Duxbury
Course in good condition , very quiet, got round in 3 hours 5 minutes.
Great Course - Can get busy
Tee off 0825 and several groups already out on the course. By the time we reached the 4th hole we were already backed up and slowing our pace down which caused groups behind us to slow down as well.
The course condition was very good generally, some wet areas even though we just had a week of hot weather.
As a municipal course it is excellent overall and very challenging. I think due to the Moorside nature and general slower pace, a little more time between groups should be considered.
Very busy by the time we finished. As Haigh Hall also has a crazy golf area and is a popular location for families in general, the car park was full by the time we left.
Dont forget to validate your parking in the golf shop!
Good, just a couple of features short
Course was in great condition, only a few minor problems:
1. Women’s tee boxes are shocking on some holes
2. Need driving net to warm up
3. Need putting green to practice before hand
Good value for £24
A good course with some interesting holes, greens were really good although the fairways were a bit unkempt in places....for a public course though...not too bad at all.
Great course, great price, pace of play ruined it.
Unreal course, fantastic greens, very well kept. Just the pace of play ruined our afternoon. Albeit bank holiday Monday afternoon, my group of myself and a friend tee’d off at 2pm. By 5:30pm we’d just finished the 11th hole and called it a day. Would strongly consider a revisit at a less busy time as pace of play is not managed as we found ourselves queuing at every hole.
Great course
Course was in great condition and well looked after. Pace of play was quite slow but that was only due to a slow foursome in front.
Will defo be back.
Reasonable municipal course
Lacks some amenities and not as good since it lost the pro shop.
Better in warm weather and sunny conditions
Very wet and muddy in lot of places and ball plugs of the fairways. Be better in the summer
