Lowes Park Golf Club

Played at Lowes Park a few times over the past few years. Only £10 to pay and play the 2 loops of nine holes (10 greens, 12 tees) but the Tee variation keeps it interesting and you are only ever 5 mins walk from the clubhouse if the weather sets in. The course is in fantastic condition and greens run true. A challenging course where you need to be accurate. 17th hole par 3 (186 yards) into the wind, over ditches and avoiding bunkers needs a solid Tee shot. Lots of work going on to improve the course with lots of drainage work and improving Tees being done. The access to the club is via a lane that has seen better days but I'm told this is being re-surfaced before the start of the 2020 summer season. Club house very welcoming and had a great lunch and a pint while chatting with the friendly members. Still can't believe you can get this level of golf course for only a Tenner!! A hidden gem.
