Marland Golf at Springfield Park

Really enjoy playing here as the course continues to be in great condition as we head towards winter. Still able to use normal tee boxes and no winter greens.

Although I have played many local courses, I keep getting pulled back to Marland. The course is always kept well as you will be able to see from social media. Its a fun course and is great value for money.

Good fun course, offering a range of styles of holes. Not the longest course in the world, but challenging enough. Greens weren't in the best condition but were still good for this time of year. Drainage is generally good around the course. The rough is a tad long in places which can hide your ball should you stray from the fairway, discouraging to say the least!

Played a few rounds here, thoroughly enjoyable and good for all abilities I would say!

This course is brilliant. Very easy on the golf ball. Maybe one or two losses if you’re a mid to high handicapper. Well maintained course. Love it.

Feed back to Golf Now though. If when booking at the clubhouse , can you have this show up on the app? So for me I booked 8:08 and on the tee was a 2 ball who had just paid in the club house. We need this pushing through on the app so we can make a better choice of players in front, behind etc.

Really enjoyed our round, course and greens in great condition. As new golfers was nice not to be rushed as the course was quiet, met staff and ranger on our round very helpfull and friendly.

Fellow golfers were also very pleasant to meet

Great course which is always in good condition. I also feel it’s a nice course for someone who is starting to move into golf. The front and back 9 are very different too. For the price you pay for a round it just can’t be beaten.

Horrendously slow pace of play caused by:

a) beginner-friendly course that attracts a lot of new golfers

b) tee sheet kept open after booking - so if you book a 2-ball, the course will likely pair you up with another 2-ball at busy times

c) 8 minute gap between tee times - absolutely insane considering the above

None of these things are bad by themselves, but the combined effect is really slow play. People also aren't aware that they've been paired with other groups and so go off in 2s, which means the time between each tee is effectively even shorter!

Course is wide, short, in good condition (considering the price), and pretty cheap. Would be a better experienced when less busy but unplayable at peak times

Brilliant course. The green keeper has done a fantastic job. Try to play every week. Very friendly staff.

Everything about this golf course is spot on, turn up a bit early and get a bacon butty and coffee for less than a fiver. Have a whack in the practice net and a put on the practice green before you tee off. Front nine is quite forgiving , whereas the back nine is a little more tricky. the course is in fantastic condition and thoroughly enjoyable. 5*

A lovely course with lots of interesting holes and fabulous views across the Penines. Although quite short at 6700 yds this course provided a decent challenge. Straight hitting was definitely helpful.

The course has gotten better over the years. Decent price

Enjoy playing marland in the summer some good holes on the course great price and a well looked after course. Got out early and was good pace of play would definitely recommend it to anyone

First and last time here,poor course got lost on course numerous times no signs telling where to go next,could do with pictures on tees explaining where the hole is as at least 7 blind holes,tees we're poor and bunkers are shocking not one was raked,but saying that you get what you pay for.never again.

On arrival went straight to the tee as no one had booked behind us for at least an hour,but couldn't believe how many blind holes their were,tees were very poor bunkers look like they hadn't been raked for days,greens weren't that bad,but as I hadn't played it before I found it very confusing,need more markers showing which way to go and maps of each holes on the tees.all in all very disappointed and will be our last time.and as we had booked with now one behind us by the time we had finished it looked like people were just coming on and starting anywhere they wanted,

Can't complain, interesting holes, not to taxing of a walk and cheap

First time playing here, the fairways for this time of are bouncing and rolling brilliantly. The condition of the greens and the fairways are excellent
