Greenmount Golf Club

Previously visited this course and it was a little boggy in places, this time conditions were very good just the golfer was a bit off… Some good holes and a couple of testers like number 3 where accuracy is key…

Like the course and will see if a 3rd go will boost the spirit and confidence.

Had a great round at a very nice course, was unaware when booking that it’s really only a nine hole but with the extra greens and some tee changes was still great fun.

Layout may be more challenging if busy but we had no issues last week.

Locals were very helpful in pointing out a few of the nuances for first time players.

Would definitely recommend especially if a good selection of tee times available meaning not too busy.

Played greenmount for first time sunday , it was a great course lovely area only issue was course layout if my playing partner didn't have his watch connected we would of got lost at tee 9 like many others did on the day but overall great experience

Got there to play 2x9 holes only to find 3 holes were closed. This would have been fine if we had been informed. We unwittingly played the 3 holes thinking all the flags and tee markers had been stolen!!!

First time playing here, 13:00hrs tee time but nobody about when i arrived so grabbed a card from outside the locker room and set off. Given it’s mid October I was happy enough, fairways were excellent but off that was a bit boggy which is to be expected. The main issue as a few people have stated is the layout, there is not a course map on the scorecard and some holes have two greens that go off in different directions, the 2nd has one green that is about 250yrds but the 11th uses the same tee box and is 400yrds off in slightly different direction for example. The worst example of this was when I was on the 3rd green which is in a valley and the players on the 12th landed their shot next to me as neither could see the other!

Other than those small issues I’d say it’s decent

Obviously the greens have been spiked and sanded for winter. Trouble is that they weren’t running true, making putting very unpredictable. . That said I play this course on a regular basis and can’t complain too much as it is great condition for most of the year

Great value for money only £14:99 for 18 holes of golf can’t beat it

Challenging course and different approaches and greens on a couple of holes

First time here and although it was a great day for golf we had a 2 ball behind us (we were a four ball) who only caught us up because we had to wait for someone in front of us. The 2 ball were not happy that we didn’t let them past but that’s because we started pulling away from them. Also what didn’t help was the 2 ball to start shouting at us and whistling at us.

I will not be playing this course again.

First time playing Greenmount and quite impressed for a 9 holer really. A few tricky holes especially 3rd/12th par 3. Greens ok a little slow for me personally. Friendly welcome in clubhouse with a nice shandy post round. Worth a visit for sure.
