Pike Fold Golf Club

Decided to revisit this course after previously being rained off. Not disappointed.. Warm welcome from members and Pro shop staff alike. Very supportive and encouraging as I am a single golfer who prefers not to hold others back. With the words “Go any enjoy it” still in my ears I set of to complete the 18 varied and testing holes. Well maintained course with green keepers busy and friendly. As it was 25’c out there today pace was steady and allowed for all levels to take their time.

Would I play again at Pike Fold? Definitely. Would I recommend it? Yes even when it’s not 25’c in May.. Go and enjoy it..

Not longest course but very decent track. No holes the same and decent variety of undulation, dog legs, elevation with numerous water hazards and bunkers on most holes making you think about almost every shot.

Standard of the greens is excellent. Large undulating championship style and highly maintained.

Only down side was holes around pro shop/clubhouse (1,2,17,18) were slightly soggy, possibly due to heavy rain this last week but apart from that course is quality!

Staff were great, well stocked shop, course in great condition, outstanding features, brilliant halfway snack hut. Questionable OOB on the 3rd but Well worth a visit!

Course condition's very wet, came off after 2 holes.

Loved this course, great greens great set up and the new bunkers although not in use yet are looking mint.

The member of staff in the shop was super polite and just a general nice guy.

I will defo be coming again.

The course is a really well planned out (except for walk between 2&3 and was in excellent condition greens look and ran really well. It’s a really challenging course with plenty of water to test all grades of golfer, unfortunately the pace of plays was really poor took me 2 hrs 20 mins just to do 8 holes (teed off at 11:12 am) decided to jump a couple and got behind another 3 ball that continued to play slower that my grandkids would. Great place including all staff but need to sort out pace.

It’s been very dray so you’d expect the fairways and green to be affected but they were playing really well. The greens were perfect. Everything about this was top line. The green keepers must have been working hard on that course because it’s been so hot and dry but it was spot on.

Played the back 9 on my first round here (only had time to play 9 doctors appointment)and was able to play the full 18 on this occasion was even more impressed by the quality of the greens and fairways….

Booked this course as it was the only one available that suited my timings while in Manchester.

For some reason I wasn’t expecting a lot but once I turned the corner on the single track road I was very pleased.

Beautiful course very well laid out. Pro in the shop was super friendly (typical of us up north). As I was on my own I undrstood there may have been some traffic ahead. He suggested asking the groups in front of the minded me tagging along.

No need to, the old boys in front of me asked if I wanted to join them which I did. Ged, Mark and Tony were great company and constantly helped out with some very well received course knowledge.

The course itself was fantastic and the sun was beating down on bury with very little wind. Would 100% play again. Bargain at £26

The course is in fantastic condition.

It’s challenging, every hole unique and very well tended.

We couldn’t believe how quiet it was, it’s a hidden gem.

Fantastic greens, course well looked after, not long but need to plot your way round.

Really enjoyed my first time playing. Good layout and greens in excellent condition. I will be returning 👍🏽
