About
It might not have a lot of competition, but Gilroy Golf Course dubs itself as the "Best 11-Hole Golf Course in America." Built by local farmers and businessmen in 1923, this unique 11-hole routing east of Santa Cruz features small greens and wide, tree-lined fairways set along the Uvas Valley that has changed very little since its founding. Though not a full 18, the golf course is still plenty challenging, including the 245-yard par-3 8th hole, a scenic tee shot considered to be the course's signature. Gilroy Golf Course has suitable BBQ and outing facilities for larger groups.

Worst course I’ve played at on Central coast
Recently played at this course. It is in the worst conditions I’ve ever seen it in , whoever runs this course should be trying a little bit better to get it in better conditions. There is like 1 million squirrels running around everywhere. You can’t even concentrate on hitting your ball cause you have a squirrel running around you, a lot of the times you hit your ball down the fairway and you lose it because there’s a squirrel hole greens and tee boxes are also in horrible condition not just a fairways
It is pretty cheap to play there, but I would never go back. I would rather go play at gavilan College golf course
Gilroy golf course
Fun new course to try, greens are in rough shape. But overall enjoyed the day. Brisket is tasty!
I have never played a course with worse conditions. If you want to play here vs playing in a random field, choose the random field.
Completely destroyed by ground squirrels
good course for the price
Enjoyed the round albeit it was a little slow. There was a single in front of us and a 6 some!! in front of him. That should not be allowed. Made for a very long round. Wish the grill would've been open.
It's playable and chill
Not a special occasion golf course. But it's straight forward and a good value.
Great course for great price.
This course is fairly well maintained for great rate with some interesting and challenging holes. Staffs are very friendly. We will come back.
Great course, great price
This course is a great little course for playing a quick nine or getting a full 18. Surprisingly good condition for the price.
Enjoyable family course
Cleaned up the course a ton from the rainy season. Greens were just recently fixed up and fairways are cut nice. Rough is a little tough to find your balls but overall really fun course to get after!
Not bad but not good either…
Got paired up with another pair because the guys behind us were friends with the guy in the clubhouse. It’s good to know people so you can get special treatment. Groups were stacked up after 3 holes. Overgrown rough ate 2 balls. It was a bit shaggy after the rain from a week before.
