Roosevelt Municipal Golf Course

Between this app GolfNow and Roosevelt country club it’s a little unfair if it’s pouring down rain and we can’t play that they don’t issue a rain check. I tried calling back multiple times and they didn’t answer me and I couldn’t get through the pro shop and all we wanted to do is switch it to after it stopped raining or the next day and finally she just said no we don’t do that. I’m not gonna use this app if that’s the way things are gonna go. We shouldn’t have to pay when there’s a weather cancellation.

My tee time was at 5:10 pm, and the round started off great. Nobody in front of me. Then caught up to the group in front and my god. Would have finished with plenty of daylight left. Instead couldn't finish the last 2. They were not good players, but not beginners also. I guess since they were still learning, it gave them the right to play slow. I don't care if you're new to the game, just move a lil quicker to get to your ball. Don't walk like you're in a library.

There was a group of 6 ahead of us that killed the pace. Took 2 hrs to get to the 6th hole.

Generally well watered and in good condition, some of the greens were under repair at the edges only. Aeration looked fairly recent but complete. Parking lot was full but on street parking is available.

There is no ranger to keep players on pace, was only able to finish 3 holes in one hour and was told no refunds after teeing off on 1. Not to mention the terribly maintained course conditions, dead patches on every tee fairway and green. DO NOT PLAY HERE.

Fun, yet challenging course. Mostly Par 4’s. Good bit of elevation. Easy to walk.

This course is a gem at the foothills of Griffith Park. Helpful Staff, well kept groinds and nice layout, terrific views of Griffith Park Observatory.

Love this course but when it’s busy your playing with 5 so pace gets slowed down tremendously. Took 4 hours to play nine holes. Not complaining but giving those who’ve never been here a heads up. The course itself is always immaculate. Fairways and greens are lush and the hills and trees are picturesque and a beautiful escape from the busy city just below!! They have a little cafe to purchase drinks and snacks.

I had heard about this course from friends and was looking forward to getting on the course. The majority of the course has wide fairways with the challenge being the curving shape to the holes from tee to green. You enjoy occasional glimpses of both downtown LA and on hole 6 (I believe) a view of Griffith Observatory from the tee pad. No carts are allowed and you will need to be able to walk up and down hills - another challenging factor. All in all it was enjoyable to play.

I'm not sure why this happens maybe it's the groups of fives maybe it's the 8 minute intervals maybe it's all the ball sprayers maybe it's the lack of marshaling or starter advisory to keep pace of play, maybe it's the running club taking all the parking spaces at 8:00 am but when I hit 3 hours on hole

5 that was the end for me had to go watch the PGA Championship . It's 9 HOLES shouldn't be that long to get a round in book at your ow peril

3hours and 40 minutes is too long for 9 holes of golf.

Why do you allow 5 somes?

Being charged full price prepaying on this app then getting to the course and the greens being a sand box was very disappointing didn’t even play the whole course

Beautiful views and great walk to get some extra exercise in. They have a cafe with beverages and food. Overall course is in great conditions. Greens were excellent. One of my favorite walking courses in Los Angeles.
