Newport Beach Golf Course

Greens ok, but much of the fairway areas are dried mud - with more grass nearer the greens. Tee boxes are mats or very rough patches of mud or rough grass. Not the best golf potential, but these conditions have got worse over the years. It’s time for new course-care management - and frankly only minor investments in grass-seed and its watering.

The only thing would be to level out the roadways and this course would be an improvement. This place is a great place.

The course is in rough shape. The mats on the tea boxes don’t have tees and you can’t push a normal tea into the carpet. Fairway grass is in very sad shape. Sand traps are unkept and hard as concrete. They have limited golf carts available, and the golf cart we were able to use was rickety and squeaky; we were honestly surprised that it made it nine holes without breaking down. Staff is super friendly - that is the most positive aspect! I cannot recommend this course to anyone who plays golf regularly and takes the game remotely seriously.

Newport Golf Course is cheap but priced right for its condition. Fairways are ok but the tees are the worst I’ve ever seen and (some of) the greens are laughable in awfully bad condition. The cups have a ground down edge on them and the pace of play can be aweful at times. The staff is great

I was considering walking this course, but after playing it with a cart, walking for me would have been impossible! The course needs so much help…I’ve never played a course in worse shape! It should be free it’s so bad!

This course is worse than a cow pasture. It’s dirty , dusty carts , dilapidated golf course. It’s an embarrassment to Newport Beach community. The revenue this course generates should be more than sufficient to improve the course better. It’s not worth it even though its rates are cheaper. You’re better off paying a little more money to play at a decent course. I wouldn’t recommend this place .

The course conditions were not too great. Grass is rough and a lot of areas and dead. When you’re going to hit the ball or tee off, you have to do it off of a mat so be sure to bring your own ball tea that can hold the ball up without being in grass. I feel the price should be lower or they should include a cart for two people because the course conditions aren’t great.

I like this course , short and good for beginners !

Course is great overall par 3s fun for a quick round with a breeze always its wonderful

Fun course for the price. The pro shop is great but the check in guys could be a little more friendly
