Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course

The second hole flag was in the middle of the fairway on the 2nd hole that no one mentioned and most of the greens were really beat up on the front. Almost all of the tee boxes were torn up.

Lots of mud in the fairways and on tee boxes. Tee boxes and spots on fairways under repair. Green not quite back to normal after punching.

Played on a Tuesday at 130 PM. Pace was great. Sub four hours. However there was a 5 some in front of us.

The conditions of the course are extremely poor right now. Every single green had some sort of issue with patches of dead grass. Fairways are not well kept.

The greens and overall course are in rough shape. I believe the conditions will get better over time but $104 is way overpriced considering current conditions. 2nd hole wasn’t even playable.

Avoid.

Players should be notified of punched and sandy greens, and especially if there are any temp greens

Crazy to charge $100+ when hole 2 doesn’t even have a green. Half the course is riddled with dead patches, can’t drive on the fairways, and tee boxes have weeds growing 2-3 inches high.

The course should really be priced around $60 until all these problems are fixed.

I showed up for a tee time at 1:24. Paid 85 dollars without a mention of punched greens along with a temporary green on hole 2. (Which was in the middle of the fairway). To charge 85 dollars for that quality of golf should be illegal. I may as well have been putting on the surface of mars. I recommend this course when it hasn't been drone-struck by the maintence crew

The second hole is completely under repair and plays to a pin just stuck in the grass. The greens were aerated and they were still charging full price. I've played here a ton of times and lately it just seems like no one is actually paying attention to what's going on. Bit of a bummer as this used to be a pretty good deal in OC but it's just not worth it anymore.

Still a fun play but they are doing some work to get the course back up to normal shape right now.

Booked on Golf Now with no mention of recently punched and sanded greens. Bald spots all over the course with soaked and saturated areas nearby. Many areas of standing water. Got my golf cart stuck in the mud in the middle of a fairway. Lost 3 new balls in the over grown rough a few feet from the fairway. The City of Irvine has let this course go. It no ranks with Riverview and Willowick as being the worst course in Orange County

This is always a fun track. However many of the fairways and greens were not. Not green, terrible shape and green #2 is missing.

Tee boxes were were okay, fairways need some work, greens super moist probable due to over watering.

Pace of play was below average and carts can use an upgrade. I would not travel to this course if it wasn’t local.

There are better courses within an hour of my location for a better price and course condition.

Price is right and staff is friendly, but fairways

need a lot of work.

Played here at 6am. $84 bucks to play and some of the worst conditions I’ve seen here. Fairways are beat up, greens are peppered with ball marks and they basically flooded the course with the sprinkler system. I keep giving this place a chance, but management doesn’t seem to care about the course.

Worst golf experience I’ve had in the Irvine area—extremely slow and backed up, with no marshals managing the pace of play. The course layout also feels unsafe, with balls from players attacking the green coming dangerously close to people teeing off on the next hole.
