Eighteen Hole at Van Nuys Golf Course
About
Located just south of the airport, Van Nuys Golf Course has a unique location that provides an air show with anything from WWII Warbirds to F16 Falcons. It can be loud occasionally, but it's also one of the most affordable rounds in the area. There are two golf courses available, an 18-hole par-3 course and a nine-hole executive course. Neither of the courses are terribly formidable, but it's a great spot for getting in some practice. It's ideal for beginners but golf enthusiasts of any skill level will appreciate that the facility stays open late and both golf courses and the driving range are equipped with lights. The Van Nuys par-3 course offers good short game practice. There are a few bunkers and some strategically placed palm trees, but it's a very user-friendly golf course overall. It's even gentle enough for juniors.

Great day yesterday -
Played with my friend yesterday and really enjoyed the coarse. Friendly staff and great breakfast burrito. Got some pars and a birdie. Great for a beginner like me. Thanks!!
great par 3
Wonderful day yesterday at my first time playing Van Nuys par 3 course. Got my first birdie. Had a nice breakfast burrito and looking forward to trying the simulator. Mike was super helpful in the golf shop and I had a blast. I will definitely be back soon. Thanks!!
A welcome upgrade
I used to frequent this course years ago because it was easy to work on my short game even with the course conditions being so bad, but it was cheap so I didnt mind. So it was to my surprise when I returned and saw that they are upgrading nearly every aspect of the course. From the cafe with real food, to the covered range, and upgraded course, this will once again be a course I frequent a lot more.
perfect place to improve
the 18 hole par 3 is the best place to have some fun learning all the shots 130 and in. the executive 9 hole course is not for me and i do not recommend. the 18 hole par three in the back is the move. good place to perfect wedges, irons and putter. no tee time required. fairways and greens are nice, the just show up and go. walking only.
Perfect for honing short game
While everyone loves the feel of a great drive...it is ultimately the "Up & Down" that decides your success on the score card.
Van Nuys is great for working on your short game - with several opportunities to pull out middle & long irons.
Great for working on short game
Great for anyone @ any level to work on short game & fundamentals. Friendly staff and players, good vibes all around. Good hot dogs & burgers at the snack shack too. Definitely good value for $ if you just want to get out and play a few holes.
Great Par 3& Executive Course
Awesome place to play. This course has changed considerably. For the best. Under new management and it is a must play. The Vantee Cafe is awesome. Great Food &great people.
Great Tuneup course
It’s great course to tune up your game. They remodeled all the tee boxes and the course is getting better every day
Good par 3 course
Good course greens just need some TLC
Great beginner course
The 18 hole course is a great place for beginners or to work out the kinks in your short game. The whole place is being renovated so there are large amounts of ground under repair. Greens and practice facilities are well maintained and the vibe is laid back. Reasonable prices, a nice walk, 2 hours or so to play 18 & walk.
Surprisingly “good”
The greens were in amazing condition and with the pace of play good, it was a great day. The only issue I had was the yardage of the holes. They should be more spaced out because most of the holes were almost the same distance.
Improvements coming soon!
Not sure if someone bought this location but a lot of new additions are coming. I can see more people working on the corse and adding new things by the end of 2025.
Do not play. Save your $$$
Everything was being redone for "new management." No liquor license. No pro shop. Entire course looks like a a sad forgotten backyard. Pace of play was slow because there were no official tee times or starters - just go whenever you feel like it. Not a collared shirt or belt in sight. I'd played this course years ago and remember having a nice time. I will not be going back.
