Fox Hills Golf Center - Fox Classic - Woodlands/Hills Course

Great full length practice center accompanied by a great practice putting/chipping green with multiple bunkers. 18 hole par-3 course, 27 hole older designed classic course, and a newer designed 18 hole championship course.

We played the classing course. Greens were very soft as we had rain the week before. Rough was reasonably cut. Greens rolled slow, long grain. Layout was your typical older midwestern layout - fairways with trees on each side, rewards accuracy more than length. Decent amount of doglegs and elevation changes for variety. One behemoth 640 yard Par 5 that unfortunately has a mat as it's tee box with cement under it - was not able to put in a tee.

Carts had GPS, there was a restaurant at the turn. This is a course with elevated pricing compared to nearby options. Course runs on 9 minute tee time intervals. Fivesomes allowed on the course on a holiday weekend morning.

The course is in great shape.

Cart was great. Slow play not supervised.

I had a fivesome in front of me who after three holes,

Still had not invited me to play through. I was by myself.

I finally got tired of them goofing off and went around which they didn't like but too bad.

I played the lakes course which is a par 70 with only one par five.

Great course top tier conditions. Can’t wait to get back!

Slow pace over first 4 holes then better - assume course staff helped

Able to rent clubs and be played with a two some; very scenic and lightning fast greens

Course was in great shape.. Pace of play was atrocious. Especially considering they have starters and 27 holes - you’d think it would be structured better. Each hole was a wait behind 2 other foursomes at each tee box. Classic Fox was the course I played and for the money, I thought the course is overrated. Short holes and all straight pretty much. Each hole is on top of another, not much scenery. The greens, fairways, tee box’s and rough were all in top shape though. Would play again for a killer hot deal only and not for asking price - much better out there for full price.

First time playing this course. The course was in good shape. Greens were very slow. Greens are very tricky to putt

Always a pleasure to golf at Fox Hills! Clean and beautifully maintained. Friendly staff!

I play a lot of courses around the midwest and find the Fox Hills Classic course to be one of the best. The layout is very entertaining and the conditions are wonderful. The course is relatively short. The tradeoff is the fairways are often slim and the greens are small and well protected. Undulations everywhere. Subtle breaks to the greens. It is challenging without being unfair. Highly recommend.

Good layout in very good shape. The only annoying thing is the artificial tee box for that long par 5 on the woods. Played as a single on a Saturday afternoon, made it through 8 before hitting traffic. Joined the twosome in front of me, we never had to wait, so pace of play couldn’t have been that bad. Finished 18 in 3 hours and change. Definitely worth it for $65ish.

My favorite course in the area. Super friendly staff. The two guys in the club house were so nice. Starter was friendly too. Course is nicely maintained. No beverage cart though.

This is a good track with (3) 9’s. Conditions are always really good at the Fox Hills courses. Place of play can get jammed up from time to time but once the pace slows it never really recovers. Good place to take your elderly parents and beginners. If you’re a group of shooters, I recommend getting out early.
