Kudo's to architect & developer to create a golf course
Kudo's to the title above that a golf course can be created on some fairly challenging hills...well, extremely unforgiving for the most part, and challenging hills. This layout can produce some major frustration, if you allow it to. Even the parking lot slopes left to right, to mimic most fairways, heh heh. The only flat surface you can find on the property is the golf shop counter-space where you will find very very friendly and cordial staff, according to the two gentlemen present that i met. First time playing here and my wife and I felt very welcomed. Now this layout as i said will make you frustrated, if you allow, but i didn't. It is a course, we all have to play the same holes, so go get it. Maybe a few bounces your favor will counteract those that I promise won't favor your shot. But this part of the challenge. Can't wait to bring some friends here and another similar course nearby, that will call these hills "mountains", where I'll take some scats (skins) for certain. I give this course the respect it is due, and high marks, as opposed to blaming the "unfair" course as some might describe it. Terry
Course is coming around, still needs time, nice layout!
Coming around nicely!
Played here for the first time today after reading some positive reviews. I had low expectations, knowing it was seriously neglected, but the new ownership really seems to be on track. Rates are discounted because they have 3 temporary greens. When I arrived, they were very up front about everything. Apparently the greens hadn’t been aerated in the last 3 years so a few were completely lost. A few were a little furry but for the most part, they’re looking healthy. Aside from the greens, the course is in excellent shape, tees and fairways were well above my expectations. The layout is great as well. I will definitely be back. It’s clear that the new owners have put a lot of money and effort into turning this place around, including all brand new carts.
Good Value
The course is under new ownership and they are working hard to turn the course conditions around. Currently you are playing to 3 temporary greens. Under the current conditions $30 for a weekend morning is a good deal.
Challenging layout
The new management is working hard getting this course to it's full potential, super friendly staff will definitely go back and play.
Lots of potential!
New ownership is working hard on moving this course in the right direction. Course has a challenging layout, some greens need work, but several greens are in really good shape. Tee boxes and fairways for most part are just fine. I enjoyed the hilly terrain around the greens which make for a challenging chip up to save Par. Pro-Shop staff super friendly and appreciate your business, pro-shop also has cool merch. I hope the new ownership stays with it, course could easy be a solid 4-4.5 star.
My only complaint is the threesome I was stuck behind who needed to play from 3 different tee boxes, not sure why people's golf etiquette is so ignorant.
Its got the bones
This course has a very fun and challenging layout but course conditions are not quite there yet. This place is on a rebound from a previous owner's neglect but it is moving in the right direction. The greens are a little furry and bumpy but playable. The fairways and tee boxes are fine. There are some rough spots around the edges in places that are not in play. Once the greens come in this is a place that I would seek out to play again because of the course design. Still a good value for being outside and hitting golf shots.
Great course and great rates
Very nice tract. Greens are being seeded and restored...that will raise the rating to 4 stars!
Really coming around
New ownership is killin it. Staff is doing a great job! Keep up the great work y’all!!
Great course for the money
This is a very challenging course that kept me interested all day! I loved the undulating fairways and challenging greens. I would be glad to play here everyday. The new owner has really done a ton of work and the greens while not pretty yet rolled very smoothly.
