Beautiful Jamestown Park Photo submitted by celebrte1 on 09/22/2017
Awesome facility and course
First time player. Was very impressed with the professional operation of Jamestown Park GC. Staff were friendly and helpful. Course was well marked and in excellent condition. Carts were in good condition. Greens were receptive and putted true. Green slopes and tiered greens can be challenging if you’re above hole or on wrong tier. Overall I’d give five stars as a rating. I will definitely tell my buddies and return for multiple rounds. Didn't get to use the driving range but it looked real nice too!

Overall very nice settings, fast greens!! Hard to read. Concessions less than normal for a highly trafficked golf course.
Great course in great shape! The pace of play on a weekday was under 4 hours! The only complaint I have is every time I go to the range I have to hit off the mats! Other than that, a great experience.
Rude
This was the nicest course I have play so far this year. The staff in the golf shop were very rude. I will play this course again but I will send one of the other players in to check in. Maybe because we paid on line
Sloooooowwwwwwwww
It took us 5 hours. We were on top of the groups waiting 10 minutes for every tee shot. Saw a 6-some. Dudes in T shirts and Birkenstocks. No one controlling lace of play. Rangers sit in your eye line when hitting. Losing balls that just miss the fairway. Greens rolling at a 13 for a public course. I dont think I’ll go back
Little Pinehurst
Jamestown played firm and fast, with very slick but true greens. Good shots aren’t always rewarded, as approaches without height or spin won’t hold greens in most cases. Not too long, and easy to navigate walking or riding…it’s not tough to get around. Getting down on the other hand is an altogether different challenge.
Review
The course was in great shape. Greens were in great shape and ran true. Tee boxes an d fairways were plush.
Overpriced now
I used to not mind this course, it’s alright. The greens are idiotic on several holes. Like just whacky mounds and “tiers” that are absurd as if you were in Myrtle Beach playing putt putt. Wasn’t long ago this course was 30 to play 18 which in my opinion made it a great value. They changed the greens to Bermuda a few years ago and they’re rock hard like marble floors. Very un enjoyable. The only perk is there’s never any divot marks because it’s impossible to cause one. Idk, paid 50 to play on a Sunday afternoon. There are other courses in this price range in this area that are far more enjoyable
this is a must play course
great course for the money, super fast greens, fairways in good shape.
Jamestown is a wonderful golf course and is always in great condition. The greens are quick but fair and always roll true. My only “negative” about the course and I play it a lot and practice there too, is their prices which have risen considerably even in the past year. It’s over $50 to play there on a weekend. I will continue to use their range but will have to limit my playing visits there because of the price.
Main attraction is the greens
Greens in good shape, fast and sloppy. Typical erosion issues for an older course. Apprach stategy crit.
Always a good Course
Play this track a good amount of times each year. Always fun, some challenging holes some good scoring holes. Greens in great condition.
Jamestown Park review
Overall the course was in very good condition. Biggest pet peeve was the amount of pebbles in the greenside bunker on 18. Greens were fast but very true. They were relatively receptive with the raid we've had. This course the greens do tend to dry out the closer we get to Summertime. Now is the best time to play it.
