The course was in pretty good shape. Nice fairways. The pro shop guy was very nice.
No driving range.
Snack bar service was horrible.
Great Value
Course in great shape. Nice mix of holes. Greens and fairways good shape. Bunkers need some work but wow what a value for a fun to play course. Only negative would be dangerous layout of back nine. Short blind shot drivable par 4 and driving to eighteen. Will be back.
Pleasant Surprise
I decided to try this course after reading a couple of prior reviews. I enjoy courses with some character and a uniqueness about them and was not disappointed. The holes required you to work the ball left and right with elevation changes throughout. The design is classic with many short dogleg par 4’s and challenging par 3’s. The greens were average speed but rolled true and were in good shape. The 10th tee was a bit of a challenge to find even with the given directions, better markings along the route would improve this. I will be back again and that is do largely to the clubhouse staff. They were extremely helpful, friendly and genuinely cared that I chose to play their course. It was a nice change from the Charlotte area courses where you the customer seem to be an inconvience to certain staffs.
Great Value!
This course has a super tough layout and is very challenging. Fairways and greens were in great shape. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. If your ever in the area, you cant beat this course for the price.
Great Course
Very nice course with well maintained greens. A good balance of challenge and forgiveness. The ability to work the ball left and right will benefit you on this course. The grill has good food and cold beer that is very reasonably priced. The practice area is well maintained and allows chipping and putting before play.
Good deal
Great deal for the money. Greens were a little slow but rolled true. Fairways were in pretty good shape considering the monsoon season we’ve had.
Nice Little Course
My husband and I enjoyed the course. It was in good shape to be February. Thank you
Weird Layout
This course has a lot of teeboxes in dangerous locations...and a lot of cartpaths that have you going against play. Greens were good but the day we played it was really slow... couldnt find the 10th tee...signs weren’t too good
Great Fall Day
Very welcoming both members and staff.Good layout and value for money. We will be back.
2 different 9s
Kings Mountain is in decent shape, especially on the front. The fairways were full (on the front) and mowed. The greens were in good shape on both sides and relatively fast. The front has 8 straight ahead holes with 1 shot dogleg par 4. The back is not quiet in as good of shape, especially the fairways which had several bare spots in them on the back. But it is much more interesting. Some may not like it or call it goofy golf, but I enjoyed it after playing the relatively flat straight front. Except for the par 3s on the back there is not a single hole where you can see the green from the tee. Lots of elevation change and doglegs make it pretty challenging. Helps to have played there before. If you havent make sure you ride ahead and check the hole out before you play it.
RL
Very enjoyable. Hard working grounds crew keeps improving the place each month. New cart path paving makes for a smooth ride. Excellent greens. Just a good place to play.
Some of the best greens around, great staff as well as great prices! Challenging course with trees outlining fairways, hard lies on hills, Some fairways are hit and miss overall great place for a golf outing!
