Royster Memorial Golf Course

Love playing here! Weekday play is cheaper than hitting.a bucket of balls at a range. I can finish 18 holes in less than 2.5 hours too. Staff is great!

My son and I played 18 here on a muggy hot day.. The course has had a lot of rain but not major puddling issues. The fairways and greens needed to be mowed but the soil is too wet at present. The greens were slow and the fairways had high bermuda grass that clutches your clubface. This was different than previous rounds we have had there but we enjoy Royster and their kind staff.

Not much flat ground decent little 9 hole course, I always take my wife and here tiny Yorkie but this course is city owned so they made me send wife back to car , charge $10 for a rider they refunded that had I not already checked in and was on the way to first tee, I would’ve left. Greens were fast some bad but still fast, mostly hills and hollows lots of up and down walking, week day price is ok weekend not worth the fee. Will probably come back someday but not top of list.

Staff were courteous and professional. The course is in a great location, without the hustle and bustle of city traffic. Very peaceful round.

It’s only 9 hole course but very nice course to play. And staffs very friendly too.

Try my best to not leave negative reviews but this place was special. Walked into golf shop/office at 815 with an 840 tee time. Line of people out the door without tee times. Man behind the counter was very frustrated and visually upset because he had so much to enter into computer and was very slow at everything he did. This man was also very rude not only to myself but a lot of other customers. Any questions we asked were ignored or the response was very rude. Made us wait in line u til after our tee time so he could fill up the waiting list. Once we jumped through hoops just to get signed in on sign in sheet plus small cards with tons of information we had questions about where to go and you would have thought we were criminals. Besides that the course was very unkempt. Carts were trash. I've putted on shag carpet better than their greens. The only positive was we only wasted $24 a person. Oh and dont look for food that doesn't exist. Heard multiple times golfnow messed everything up and they were the cause of the problems they were experiencing. Well I feel like golfnow had zero to do with their nasty attitudes and just being a decent person. Will never return to play here even if it was free.

It was okay the first 9, pace of play was awesome. As we came around there was 3 older gentlemen waiting on the tee box for some reason. They could’ve hit, they then out of no where start getting super rude saying we have the tee box and play here every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday. We are members here and we don’t let anyone play through blah blah blah. Then they proceed to each hit it about 75 yards.

Greens way better this time some dead spots. The few holes have blind shots do need a bell. The cost is awesome for this 9 holes of golf. The staff super friendly. The pro shop has vending machines and water stations on course.i Will be playing this weekly from here on out.

I would compare this course to playing golf at a driving range but having a cart to drive to different parts of the range.

Fun layout but greens need work and some holes have blind shots need maybe a bell to ring to speed up play on those holes. The course has no snack bar or food so be prepared. The cost is way below what course is worth will play again soon.

This 9 hole course could be nice greens need rolled and some.damage on a few holes. The course has some kind shots so maybe put a bell for players to ring when clear. The player I played had to keep driving up to see if clear to hit. But for $15 with cart I'm coming back

The course is a good layout wide open fairways. The greens where slow and bumpy and fairways wide and tight. The 3rd needs a bell for an all clear to hit. The 2nd is par 3 and maybe tell groups to hit up and let next group hit up then play to speed up play. The course is way better than the cost. I will play again soon because it's a nice little track.
