Great Venue/Great Value
Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Fun layout except for #5 - hardest dang hole on the course!! LOL!
Good layout, excellent greens
Really like the layout of this course and the greens are usually very good, smooth and fast. Rate in recents years has gotten a little high for my budget, but it’s still one of my favorite tracks.
Cedar Rock - Great Course For Value
Really enjoy playing here - course is fair - rough can be challenging - good pace normally.
Great new experience
My son and I incorporated a stop at Cedar Rock as part of our travel plans to Boone. The course was in fantastic shape and presented a number of challenges. There is a sneaky little stream that seems to consciously follow you around the front nine and then a previously nonexistent wind shows up for the back! The greens and tee boxes were well maintained and the staff was extremely friendly. The only dampening comment I would make is that multiple twosomes were sent off, backing up play considerably. It is frustrating to wait in a tee box and stare at a twosome in the fairway, who is staring at a twosome up on the green. The started said the twosome in front of us wanted to remain a twosome. Really? They get to pick that? On #10, we connected with another twosome and played as a four for the remaining holes. Otherwise, a great experience and we shall return.
GREAT COURSE
Love this course. Too bad it’s a 11/2 hr. from Fort Mill. Front 9 is a tough mountain course and back is a valley course. Challenging all the way around with numerous bunkers. Greens have a lot of slope and roll. Too bad it’s moving toward a private country club.k
Great course
Nice course, great staff. Fun but challenging course.
Lovely course
Still a little early for the greens. Great layout.
Good Course but Better Out There
Good course. If you want a mostly a flat and open course it does check the boxes. Not a lot of traps, water, and woods. Few balls lost and an enjoyable round for a bad golfer. Very friendly staff.
Love This Course
I really look forward to playing Cedar Rock every chance I get. The course has always been in great condition. Pace of play is good, and the course is interesting and challenging. I usually play here as a single and have really enjoyed playing with the various other golfers I've been paired up with. My go-to course when I'm in the area.
