This is the best golf you can play for 28 bucks
I live in Boone for college This course is the same price as a course I play at home in Wilmington that course is basically a farm the only thing they really have is greens , this course however is a real golf course it’s nothing special but for Somone like me who actually enjoys golf but is dead broke this is heaven
Staff was rude
We booked a tee time. Showed up right at the tee time. 1st tee was backed up, so I sent my wife and her friend in to check in. I loaded the cart and waited 5 minutes for them to come out of pro shop. 4 golfers came out and jumped to first tee. Then I went in to see the issue and the guy pushed our tee time because we were "late'. His pals played in front of us and we're very slow. I assume that because ladies went to check in he thought they would play slow and ended up putting us behind a slow foursome. Won't play here again.

The greens were very well maintained and was even more impressed with the area around all the greens.

Golf now
We played 4 holes of this course over the span of 2 hours because of how backed up it was. Then it ended up pouring rain and we couldn’t get rain checks so the guy at the shop said to contact y’all to contact them about it and then give me my points back. I still have not received anything in return.

I am unsure of Golf Now's policy on raincheck's, but if you payed through Golf Now, then I would suggest contacting them about the shortened round. Worth the cost
The adage of "you get what you pay for" is true. This is not a $50+ course. I paid $20 through a hot deal and I feel I actually underpaid for what I got. A $35 course on average.
Greens were great. Fairway was..trying to be there. Not tremendously bad. Not private condition either.
Worth whatever hot deal you can find.
Difficult Layout
Course is a 1928 design, although I suspect changes have been made. Making your way around is difficult. Yardages don’t align with GPS devices. Having played several Donald Ross courses I had high expectations. Drove about 94 miles to play, enjoyed the day, but wouldn’t make the drive to repeat play.

Fun course
Old Donald Ross design. Good condition. Greens were in good shape. Average speed. Fairways and rough were in good enough condition to play it down. Great value for the money. Five some held up play. No rangers

Mostly flat
Great course for the money. If I'm ever back I'll play it again. Slow flat greens, not much trouble in the fairways , and greens have no false fronts . Great beginners course.

Worth the money
Course fairways are a little rough, but tee boxes and greens were very good. A little difficult to navigate between green to next tee for a first time player.
