Aeration and front 9 closed
Love the course and normally in great shape but they just aerated the back and was aerating the front today so we had to play the back twice. When booking through golf now it should of been stated what the course was doing and if we would of known we would of went someplace else. There was t anyone working the snack bar which was a little irritating. I will still go back to Stonebridge, it’s a great course with a good staff.
Early season, good form
Conditions were really good, greens receptive if not a bit soft. 5th hole, par 4, was playing at 200 yards from the Blue tees to avoid some wet spots, I suspect. Course design is a lot of fun, with a good mix of target golf and let it rip. Practice facilities are fine, unremarkable. Weekend greens fees likely a shade overpriced, but the pace of play was really good, which made for an enjoyable round.
I love this layout
I love this layout but is was very very slloppy because of all the rain we have had. Cart path only and standing water in a lot of places Not the courses fault because of all the rain
Pace of Play - horrible
If you want to have a 6 hour round of golf, this is your course. I have heard that the course is for sell so current owners are slamming tee times to get the most money as possible before dumping this joint.
NEVER Going Back!!!
Nowhere on GolfNow did Stonebridge post a notification stating I would be forced to share my cart with a complete stranger or have to pay $20 extra for my own cart. How dare they try to force total strangers to sit together in a golf cart during a global pandemic which has claimed the lives of 500,000 Americans. Are they taking golfers' temperature? NO! Are they having us sign an affidavit that we don't knowingly have Covid? NO!
Who do they think they are to risk my life for a lousy $20! Never - I repeat - NEVER GOING BACK!!!
Heavy Rains Take a Toll
Due to the heavy rains we had, we played cart path only which slowed down pace of play although it wasn't too bad. Fairways very muddy/wet. Greens were in good condition.
Looking forward to the spring!
Fading away
Needs grounds improvement, too many barren, muddy and unkept areas over entire course. Tee boxes in poor shape, greens a disappointment. I know this is all about budget and manpower, but once solid track in obvious decline
Great Course
My group and I had a great experience this week at Stonebridge. The course for midwinter ws in excellent shape and the greens were some of the best in the area. Staff was outstanding.
nice greens cold and muddy
I play here often the staff and green are always great. Winter is tough down here most courses don't drain well due to the clay, the dormant grass and muddy soft conditions make chipping tough but it was 34 degrees.
Always a great time
Stonebridge has one of the greatest maintenance staffs around. After all the play and al the weather hot and cold, the condition of this course is second to none. Great layout, lots of risk/reward holes. Love it every time
Muddy day
I play every Saturday with group of guys in the morning! The greens are in excellent shape. However the fairways and tee box’s need to some help. The course needs better drainage alway wet and puddles everywhere. The other knock is golf carts are in bad shape; thankfully new ones are coming in March. The staff is fabulous always friendly and accommodating. In spring, fall and summer the place is top notch, $65 during the winter when fairways are dormant and no grass to speak of I find price very high $45 would be acceptable. Love the layout allot of risk reward.
