Very Much Improved!
Fantastic layout, Great practice areas. Best greens they’ve had in years and very true roll on the greens. This is a great course for 2022 for sure. I’ll be back a lot in coming months.
Improving!
I have played this course a few times. The greens were in really bad shape in the fall but they are improving!
This is a fun course and I hope to see the conditions continue to improve .
I will keep coming back
The worst!
This golf course is the worst course I have ever played.
The staff is the worst I have ever had to deal with. They are so unprofessional and rude. Even to my son.
I don’t know why people keep going back to play this course. Save your money or play somewhere else.
Last year was great, not anymore.
This course last year seemed great. Greens were in good shape and course is fun. Recently it has been raining and I understand nobody can control that but the course was the sloppiest course I have ever been on. So sloppy I think they should close the course until it dries out because it is not drained. It was cart path only which is fine but anywhere you walked you sank into mud. The greens are absolute garbage these days. The front 9 is unacceptable, and the back better but still considered poor. The price was $55 and if I knew the conditions of the greens I would of never played. The mud I understand is out of their hands but the greens should never be this bad.
Greens need work
After watching the Divide spend a lot of money on their greens that past year, I was really looking forward to playing the course gain. Well after hitting the first green, I can say there was no improvements on the greens. They were spotty at best. I so not understand haw a course with this bad of greens can be charging $60.00/round. Glad I got mine for a much lower rate. At even at that price it was no deal.
Swamp, overpriced with unputtable greens
Because of all the rain the course should have been closed or at least 50% off. There was not dry area on the fairway; literally walking in mud. To make matters worse all the greens (were told in club house 3 holes the greens were bad) were bad - bumpy, sandy, not rolled spotty. Course exactly spray painted the greens to make them appear nice from a distance. Charging $55 because you can get is absurd - $20 is more inline.
Was like playing in mud bowl
Fairways were so wet they should had the club closed. Green were unputtable so bumpy. They spray painted to make look great from afar.. The Pro said there was discount for bad greens from $59’to $55 absolute rip off.Pricing inflation due to pandemic.
to wet to play course should have been close
To wet to play green damage front 9 was bad mud fairways, green un putt able The man in club house said course in great shape that was a lie Not worth 55$ waste of time
Fun layout but avoid if wet.
Customer service - average ...not rude but not friendly.
Driving range - good ...decent size and nice grass to hit off
Putting green- good shape.
Tee boxes- wet/ poor drainage
Fairways - wet / poor drainage.
Bunkers - most were ok and in really good shape for being wet
Greens - very poor ( wish would have been informed about this prior to teeing off)
Course layout - nice design and fun to pay.
Overall, a cool course in need of some work. Just do not play if wet.
Nice course layout with some challenging holes but in need of repair.
Weather - sunny in the 40’s
Rained two days prior to tee time.
Course layout -good for all levels of play
Tee boxes - most were ok and level...some soaked ( poor drainage )
Fairways - wet / poor drainage.
Greens- in need of repair...very poor condition
Driving range - lots of space and great grass to hit off
Customer service - average ...not rude but not friendly.
Overall a fun course to play. If dry I am sure the fairways and tee boxes will be ok, but the greens are in pretty bad shape. Just do not book if there was recently rain.
Good Price. Greens...not so much.
Great price for a Sunday! It had been a while since I'd been to The Divide, and the value for the price was certainly worth it.
However, the majority of the greens had bare spots that had been covered with sand, then painted green. From the tee box or fairway they looked great. But putting through a pseudo-bunker more than half the time will make me think twice before coming back, unless the price stays low.
Wet and patch
The course like many in the area was very wet. The layout was good. However some tee boxes didn't have grass, and the greens were patchy and had been diagonally cut making them very bumpy. I would recommend waiting till the spring to play this one.
Renovations complete but avoid this course right now
I played yesterday and teed off at 12:30. Website shows "Renovations complete" but doesn't tell you the greens are not in good shape at all, nearly unputtable. Price didnt reflect crappy greens either. We started on the back and got to the first par 3 which at 53 degrees and 1:30 was already tarped over. Disappointing since no mention from the clubhouse at checkin that they were going to tarp the green at 1:30 in the afternoon. Made it to the second par 3 an hour or so later and it was tarped over. Called the clubhouse who said they put tarps down early because it takes a while to put the tarps down. 1:30 with 4 hours of daylight left and tarps were down. Guy in the pro shop apologized and told us to play as many holes as we could after 18 to compensate. Not happy about it but that was the only offer. Made the turn back to play 1 again and a cart guy came running up to us and told us we had to have the carts in in 20 minutes. Played there several times and by far worst experience with the bad shape greens with zero notice and no pricing adjustment and then the closing of 2 holes with no notice and the cart crew and the pro shop not caring. If there are other choices even for more money they are worth it. Avoid this course for now.
Great when dry, not so good when soggy
Although it had not rained in several days, the course was very soggy...actually abandoned 3 balls because they were either in standing water or there was too much water/mud between the path and where the ball landed.
Having said the above, I've played this course under ideal/dry conditions and it was just fine. Drainage is clearly an issue on about 1/5 of the fairways...a few dump truck loads of topsoil would help on one or two especially. A couple of the greens were in terrible shape, again due to the water logged nature...one in particular had little grass...brown, green or otherwise.
I interacted with 4 staff members and 3 were very friendly and helpful. Due to the health issues of 2 of our group and the fact that the other 2 are care givers of very elderly/sick individuals, we requested an extra cart...the fee was $10 which is about average (other courses range from $6 to $12).
The takeaway from all this is that if you get a round very cheap, be prepared and enjoy the day. But if paying full pop or just slightly discounted, make sure things have dried out.
Just bad
From the carts to mud the course is just horrible. The greens are non-existent and overall course is just really bad.
Very wet
Green we’re unfortunately very bad and fairways were very soggy.
