Bring your 7 iron wedge and putter. Thats about all you can use here. Lost more balls today than all of 2020.

I should give two stars for the foam range balls that cost $7

I've played at over 85 different golf courses in my life (I collect a logo ball from each). This was my worst treatment ever by a staff. I normally read reviews about staff treatment and write them off as a person who wasn't friendly or didn't follow the rules, but there is something to this place having really rude staff. I was a single golfer trying out the course for the first time as a walk up, on a Wed in March, and was met with extremely dismissive and rude behavior at the register. It was as if they didn't want myeloma to play honestly, despite having numerous openings on the Golfnow app. I brushed it off, I mean we are in a pandemic, and went out to check in with the starter who was also way over the top rude. I had bought a bucket of balls for their FOAM BALL DRIVING RANGE (he didn’t mention that) to warm up and the starter said, "you don't have any time for that, you better run out to the first tee if you want to play at all today." I was a little surprised, and said with a friendly tone: "I'm honestly not in a huge rush. If there is an opening even up to 45 mins or so from now, I would love to putt and hit some balls. This is my first time here and I'm a little rusty.. Buy hey, if this is the only spot all day, I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’ll take it." His response was hostile as a he got visibly angry with me: "You want to play today or not? I have no idea when I'm getting you out after this... your not getting out is your choice". I apologized and said, "Sure, if that's all you got, it's all you got? I mean it sounds like my only choice really." Well, this story ends with my rushing out to catch a three some already teeing off, and playing horribly to start the round. AND OF COURSE THE GROUP BEHIND US WAS A TWOSOME. Beyond the staff, this is not a course to play if you are new to the game, have trouble hitting it straight, rusty, or if it's windy. The golf course design is very very tight and very short. Water, homes, and shrubs require even a good golfer to club down throughout the round to keep it in play. This is the kind of course you really need someone who has played here before because I was hitting irons and hybrids off the tee regularly from the blue tees. The green conditions and fairways were above average. Club house was dated. The views are terrific on a number of the holes on the water, but honestly the entire experience was ruined for me by the staff. I'm not a guy that does bad reviews, but this place earned one. To give you a feel for how rattled I was, I shot a 50 on the front and a 38 on the back, but do not recommend this course for any reason other than the convenience of it being close to you. There are better places to play that are close. I've loved my experiences at Duck Woods, the Currituck Club, and Kilmarlic.

I love this course, play every year. It's an extremely challenging course in ideal weather conditions. When you add high winds, it becomes a true test of everything you have. Great views, a true gem in the OBX

This course was in good condition for winter golf on a sunny day. However, because of the high winds it made the course more challenging. All in all it was a great deal for a good day of golf.

What should have been a wet day turned into a fantastic play coarse was not super soaked drained well and because of cart path only thought it would be hard to walk and it was pretty easy, well maintained and great coarse to play. Look forward to playing in the summer sometime!

The course is beautiful and great for OBX golf. If you catch it on a windy day, you're in for a round, it's short but the wind can make the par 5s tough when okaying into the wind. Had just rained the day before so it was wet in a few places but not bad at all. Some gorgeous views off at least 4 tee boxes and 5 greens.

Greens are not consistent. Fairways are a little tall. Shortest par 3s I’ve ever played

Passing through OBX and found a deal and paid like $30 something. Course was in good shape and views. It is a shorter course so put the driver away on some holes.

The first four holes are focated on the side of the main road at a speed limit of 50 miles, so the noise of the car was a little annoying. However, more than half of the holes on the course are located on the lake side, and you can enjoy challenging rounds considering the wind and so on.

Always a challenge, bring balls. Short and pinpoint golf. Always lose some balls. Greens were great for Dec. Great location in OBX. Don’t need driver a lot. Great views of sound. Pretty course.
