Great day. Golf Now made it easy to check in and get going. Great course with many tee options.

This course should not have accepted any bookings on August 1 because they had a childrens tournament.

We were told that if we started on 10 it would be clear when we made the turn, not so. It was pitiful, slow, slow, slow. Each group had 2 to 3 carts of parents or coaches with the kids talking to them between shots.

The course offered a rain check, not being local not of any value to us, we are not driving 700 miles to play 9 holes. Refused any refund and never apologized.

our tee time was right at the end of an outing and I think the group in front of us was the slowest group on the course....we ran out of time and had to skip the last two holes. the course was very nice and a great value on Golf Now. Very enjoyable except for the pace of play...we might not have booked it if we had known a big group was in front of us

The Emerald was in excellent shape.

The started paired me with some members who were very friendly and helpful explaining the course layout.

Would recommend this course to any tourists visiting the New Bern area.

This was my first time playing at this course. It is a good course for every player. It has nice fairways and really firm greens and soft sand(found out the hard way). The only complaint is the really rough cart path.

Good day overall. Had to stay on cart paths the entire day which can be tiring at 69. Course did not seem to be wet but that is the course prerogative. conditions were good. the greens were good.

This is the second time I have played this course. I will definitely be back. Staff friendly and courteous, course was in great condition and is a great layout.

We had a 1:00 tee time. Upon arriving at the course it was apparent that they were having a tournament which started at 12:15. There were 9 foursomes. We didn't say anything to the starter-just did our warming up. Very soon after the teams were sent off for their shotgun start the starter allowed us to start on the back nine. We appreciated this very much. It would have been a long afternoon had he not done this. The course was in very good shape and we enjoyed our round.

Very challenging and multiple set of tees for player enjoyment.

First time player. Course was in great shape considering the time of year. Good layout with the course and few surprises. White tees a short at just 5200 yards but Blue Tees at just under 6200 made up for it.

The Emerald is one of the best courses around. The weather was perfect for a round of golf, and the course is in great shape for this time of year! The tee boxes are very well manicured. I've played a couple courses recently that have tall grass and weeds on theirs, so this was pleasant. The greens were a bit slower than normal for The Emerald, but they usually have some of the fastest around. The pace of play seemed slow, but that's because I was golfing alone, had a twosome in front of me and behind me, and there was a foursome two groups in front, so I was waiting on every tee box. This made it feel very slow, but the round only took 3.5 hours. It's always a joy to play The Emerald, especially with GolfNow's Hot Deal tee time that makes the round only $25.

Get what you pay for. Good course for beginners. Decent layout. Would recommend for weekend golfers looking for a new course to play.

Have played this course many times. Always in great shape, and smooth fast greens. Nothing at all bad to say about this course or staff. One I'll play many times throughout the year.

We arrived at 7:30 for our 7:54 tee time hoping to be able to hit a few balls and get loose. The doors were locked when we got there. We talked in the parking lot for a bit and then putted. It wasn't until about 8:00 that someone got inside and unlocked the place. We were on a time crunch so we couldn't push back in order to warm up. The course was very soggy but they let us take the carts on the fairways. Even under the soggy conditions the course was very nice. It's a challenge and forces you to think on a lot of holes. Greens rolled really smooth and were true. I'm going to come back, hopefully they'll be open when I get there.
