Crystal Coast Country Club
About
The Crystal Coast Country Club sits along the Bogue Sound, sprawling across sand dunes and weaving through the Maritime Forest. The club boasts the only golf course on the 21-mile island of Pine Knolls Shores. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course doesn't have the length that some other championship layouts have but there are still plenty of challenges in store. In addition to bunkers that are strategically placed along the small greens and narrow fairways, water comes into play on 13 holes. Though there are some tight spots that can be tough to navigate, the golf course is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Regardless of ability, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery, especially on the back nine where you'll have the best views of the Sound.

Country Club of the Crystal Coast
Overall, this was a very good experience. After many inches of rain from a tropical storm, the course was in very good condition. Only in a couple of areas were there restricted spots. For the most part the course drains very well. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were great.
We were paired with some delightful people and the total experience was Five-Star!
Play this course and enjoy scenic spots on Bogue Sound, feel the ocean breeze and enjoy abundant types of wildlife.
Best location from beach areas and greens are in great shape.
Short tight course so put the driver away because hitting fairways is the priority and length is not needed. Course was in very good condition and pace of play was excellent . It is located on the islands where all the beach houses are located sit it lets you get a round in and still have from noon on at the beach with the kids.
Nice layout but room for improvement
I played this course on 8/1/16. With a southern course this time of year I expected some "burnt" out or brown spots and there were some areas marked ground under repair which is understandable. However some of the tee boxes needed some work; (water and cut). Most fairways were tight and in decent conditions. Greens were so so. They held but no ball marks and when putting they were a little furry. You really had to whack a putt to get it to the hole. I played on a hot deal, I don't think I would pay full price. Maybe I'll try again in the off season, has the layout and potential to be a nice course on the sound. However if ur looking for a quick round. Pace of play for myself as a single was 2 hours 45 minutes.
Vacation player
The course was in excellent shape staff and very friendly price was $20 cheaper than the other local course and was ten times better shape!
Definitely will play again when I'm in the area
Right off the tee
Some good views short tight course. Good at 3's.
Crystal Coast Club
My Dad and I had a fun round, we booked on golf now hot rate of $35 to play at 7:50am before the heat. Free small practice area, nice folks in the pro shop, not great deals on merchandise. Course was busy but not slow, we played our round paired with a single in 3 hours 15 minutes. Course was tight and short 6000 yards from blues, water on 16 of 18 holes. Fairways, water, bunkers and greens were in great shape. I would play again for sure. Some tee shots were tricky with the layout and required irons or fairway woods to adjust to doglegs and landing areas. Fun course I would definitely recommend.
Course is fun to play..worth the $
Friendly staff. Ask proshop about any quirky tee shots. Bermuda greens. When you play it a 2nd time you will love it. Play early and you can finish in 3 1/2 hrs. Free warmup area. I am a Bent greens guy so Bermuda is different. Try it once in Giolfbow price!
Great course while on vacation
Great little course

Some
Fairways in great shape
A few needed attention-
But I love playing this par 70 while I'm at the beach
Nice course
Nice well kept course with nice people.
Great OBX Course!
A relatively short course, but dont be fooled...narrow fairways and selectively placed trees plus water everywhere make it a good challenge. Love playing here whenever Im at the beach.
super disappointing
First time we have played the course in several years. Looks like they may be struggling financially. Tees boxes rough, greens - pitiful shape. Hopefully they can get it together and bring the course back, otherwise we will probably see houses being built there after they sell it to some developer.
Great course
This is a great golf course, the fairway are a little narrow, but are in great shape.
Pretty good little course
It's not designed for a longer hitter like myself. But it's a very good little course. Make sure your short game is on bc there are two par threes that are 108 and 118 from the tips. Still a fun and beautiful layout right on the sound. I will definitely be back to play
Always a pleasant round
Course was in good condition for early-November play. Had recently rained so little mushy in some places, but being a beach course, it dries out pretty well. Always enjoy playing when we are down.
Pretty nice course
Course was in great shape. Front 9 was kind of confusing and close together. Back 9 was much better. There were no hole orientation placards at each hole. Would have helped a lot for first time players. Nice course for the price and challenging holes. Greens were in great shape and very fun to play. Food was pricey. I would play here again
Nice views
Course has very nice views, a bit tight, excellent greens in great condition. very nice course.
CC of the Crystal Coast 10/21
Nice small and tight layout played solo so was able to play quickly. Course has a good bit of water, so if you are a bit errant, you pay for that mistake. Par 70 little over 6k from the blue tees. Definitely priced right and hope to play again. Greens are fast fairways are nice and rough is forgiving. Pleasant staff!
Fun layout and Great scenery!
Great course. I had a super day and meet some fine gentlemen paired up with in pro shop. Played from the reds and it was more challenging then from the tips.
Nice coastal course
I enjoyed the course. It has a few holes that have to be negotiated, which was fun. Play it if you get a chance.
Shot-makers course
Course is relatively short and some fairways are narrow. Ample water features. Greens were fast but in good shape. Bring plenty of balls if you're a little inconsistent, particularly off the tee!
