Crystal Coast Country Club
About
The Crystal Coast Country Club sits along the Bogue Sound, sprawling across sand dunes and weaving through the Maritime Forest. The club boasts the only golf course on the 21-mile island of Pine Knolls Shores. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course doesn't have the length that some other championship layouts have but there are still plenty of challenges in store. In addition to bunkers that are strategically placed along the small greens and narrow fairways, water comes into play on 13 holes. Though there are some tight spots that can be tough to navigate, the golf course is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Regardless of ability, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery, especially on the back nine where you'll have the best views of the Sound.

Beautiful short course.
Even though there were rough spots they were clearly marked for repair.
Keep it straight
This course was very fun to play. 3 players in our party and we all enjoyed it. Great scenery on the back 9 playing beside the sound. Had some challenging holes and a little tight in some areas. I would definitely come back to this course.
Nice short course
Played very early in the morning. Had to wait on sprinkler system on several holes. Played a couple of weeks earlier on this course and had booked tee time online. There was no way of knowing they had a members tournament going on at the same time. Every hole was in use. Was redirected to different holes on several occasions. The 18 hole round lasted about 1 1/2 hours longer than it should have. Other than that its a nice short course, well maintained. Still had a decent day.
Good hard greens
Good pitching wedge practice area, free balls. I'ed come back
The Country Club of the Crystal Coast
The course is tightly packed into a wooded residential area. No major hazards to overcome. I enjoyed playing this course and look forward to playing here again.
Challenge
Challenges you play and your vocabulary. Lots of fun if you are accurate, length is less of an issue. Enjoyed the day and the course!
Nice course in nice location
Course is fairly short, but still entertaining. While it was dormant-grassed brown, except for spray-colored greens, it was still very playable in mid-February. There were very few bad spots, bunkers were fine, more than a few water hazards, and a couple of very scenic holes along the sound near the large clubhouse. Not sure of the food-service hours in the off-season, but it seems that it is upscale, and a very nice place for dinner. Being breezy and at sea-level, you must be careful in spots---don't let the lack of yardage fool you.
Great Course
Great course. Awesome staff. Awesome weather. Very enjoyable round. It was VERY slow (being a tourist town in October) so they let us play a 6-some. Had to let two groups go thru but was a lot of fun!
Great Course
Beautiful course, enjoyed the round and will definitely play it again.
Great views - great course
I was pleasantly surprised to fine this course in great shape. I have not play CC for 4 years and found the upgrades very rewarding.
Great First Round
This was my first ever full round of 18, and with an excellent Junior rate ($22) 2 of my friends and I decided to take advantage. The Par 5's were almost never-ending (as it was my first round) and the Par 3's were my best score to par almost every time. I earned good scores for good shots, and were punished for bad shots. This course made me really think about my options. Putting was challenging, as it should be; not every 5-footer was a gimmie, you had to work for everything. An amazing time capping off an amazing day.
