Crystal Coast Country Club
About
The Crystal Coast Country Club sits along the Bogue Sound, sprawling across sand dunes and weaving through the Maritime Forest. The club boasts the only golf course on the 21-mile island of Pine Knolls Shores. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course doesn't have the length that some other championship layouts have but there are still plenty of challenges in store. In addition to bunkers that are strategically placed along the small greens and narrow fairways, water comes into play on 13 holes. Though there are some tight spots that can be tough to navigate, the golf course is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Regardless of ability, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery, especially on the back nine where you'll have the best views of the Sound.

super disappointing
First time we have played the course in several years. Looks like they may be struggling financially. Tees boxes rough, greens - pitiful shape. Hopefully they can get it together and bring the course back, otherwise we will probably see houses being built there after they sell it to some developer.
Great course
This is a great golf course, the fairway are a little narrow, but are in great shape.
Pretty good little course
It's not designed for a longer hitter like myself. But it's a very good little course. Make sure your short game is on bc there are two par threes that are 108 and 118 from the tips. Still a fun and beautiful layout right on the sound. I will definitely be back to play
Always a pleasant round
Course was in good condition for early-November play. Had recently rained so little mushy in some places, but being a beach course, it dries out pretty well. Always enjoy playing when we are down.
Pretty nice course
Course was in great shape. Front 9 was kind of confusing and close together. Back 9 was much better. There were no hole orientation placards at each hole. Would have helped a lot for first time players. Nice course for the price and challenging holes. Greens were in great shape and very fun to play. Food was pricey. I would play here again
Nice views
Course has very nice views, a bit tight, excellent greens in great condition. very nice course.
CC of the Crystal Coast 10/21
Nice small and tight layout played solo so was able to play quickly. Course has a good bit of water, so if you are a bit errant, you pay for that mistake. Par 70 little over 6k from the blue tees. Definitely priced right and hope to play again. Greens are fast fairways are nice and rough is forgiving. Pleasant staff!
Fun layout and Great scenery!
Great course. I had a super day and meet some fine gentlemen paired up with in pro shop. Played from the reds and it was more challenging then from the tips.
Nice coastal course
I enjoyed the course. It has a few holes that have to be negotiated, which was fun. Play it if you get a chance.
Shot-makers course
Course is relatively short and some fairways are narrow. Ample water features. Greens were fast but in good shape. Bring plenty of balls if you're a little inconsistent, particularly off the tee!
Pace of play and overpriced
Pace of play was slow and embarrassing. I I got behind members at the turn and they were playing a 5some and wouldn't let me a single play through and they were a hole behind the next group. Priced too high for the quality of the course, $35 max not $60 mainly location cost. I recommend North river for the same price. Higher quality corse
Nice course
Nice course. Cost is a little high for course but not bad for being at the beach. A fun challenging course for the weekend golfer.
Last min round
This was a last min decision to play and it was a great deal at a great time to be able to play. It was my first time and it was a nice course. Helps to play with someone who has played there. Lots of unknowns and needed a yardage guide.
Tough course
Tough course that seems to play longer than the 6000 yards. I was t forced to hit a lot of irons and hybrids off the tee because of all the water and tree lined fairways. The greens were also sneaky fast but overall course was in good shape.
With Friends
This is a beautiful course with beautiful views over the sound and the course is in perfect condition.
It is a short course yet narrow and requires straight shots
Tight fairways
Tight fairways. Challenging but fun. I would play here again.
A fair course
While a short course,as expected, I was a bit disappointed with the overall layout. It went from easy to difficult quickly and then back. Tough to get a rhythm going. Course conditions are on the mend considering the weather NC has had. Staff seemed a bit grumpy to me but not unreasonable.
Fun but challenging round at a very reasonable price
This is a very fun course to play. Water comes into play on 9 of the 18-holes. It's a very tight course, so many of the fairways are narrow & challenging. Trees can be a challenge as well. Some of the par-4's are short, but you'll need to use some strategy to navigate the doglegs, water, and trees. From a price perspective, this course is less expensive than others in the Emerald Isle area. It's also a much prettier view because some of the holes run along side The Inter-Coastal Waterway. This also provides a little more breeze, while playing, which was a welcomed comfort to cool me down. I highly recommend this course.
Dkswiley
The layout is nice. Good view. Greens are consistent but very very slow.also there is no water on the course other than the clubhouse.
Very scenic, greens and tee boxes in great shape
only negative is the course hole by hole details. First time playing the course, and only details for each hole is the scorecard layout, which is not sufficient enough.
