Crystal Coast Country Club
About
The Crystal Coast Country Club sits along the Bogue Sound, sprawling across sand dunes and weaving through the Maritime Forest. The club boasts the only golf course on the 21-mile island of Pine Knolls Shores. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course doesn't have the length that some other championship layouts have but there are still plenty of challenges in store. In addition to bunkers that are strategically placed along the small greens and narrow fairways, water comes into play on 13 holes. Though there are some tight spots that can be tough to navigate, the golf course is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Regardless of ability, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery, especially on the back nine where you'll have the best views of the Sound.

Great course
Love this course! Not long and you have to pick your way around this layout!
Great Course
This course is just so much fun to play! Challenging and yet very playable.
Course review Crystal Coast
Course was in very good shape for the end of February. Greens were fast but sometimes unpredictable. Course itself is beautiful with water views. Layout is efficient mixing par 3s, 4s & 5s. Totally enjoy playing this course.
Tricky Layout with Fast Greens
I have played this course several times on my latest trip to this neck of the woods. I was paying at the club because, for reasons unknown to me, the Hot Deal price was twenty bucks more than the walk-in rate. That has now been rectified.
The course isn’t long, but it’s fairly tight. If you tend to spray the ball, make sure you bring lots of ammo. It has an interesting assortment of holes, and the greens are quick. The first few times out they really had my number.
The staff are friendly, as are the locals if you happen to get paired up with them. I recommend you give this course a try if you are in the area. Now that the Hot Deal price has been adjusted, it’s not a bad deal at under forty bucks.
Course is in great shape
Make sure you keep it straight or it’s going to be a long day. Best course on the island! Played this course for two decades or so, it’s in its best shape. Greens roll true. Very challenging layout makes for a fun round of golf. I was impressed with it.
Florida golfer
Play Crystal Coast every time visiting from Florida, awesome course in a spectacular location.
Excellent Greens
The greens were in amazing shape and quick which is exactly how they should be. The rest of the course was kept up very nicely
Best in area
Overall, the best course in area. Fairways had been punched; however barely effected play. Staff was friendly and courteous. Highly recommend this course.
Excellent condition
This course is in excellent condition. Less than normal driving and putting facilities. Course is short but tight with plenty of water. Love it
Phenomenal Experience
Absolutely beautiful course, extremely friendly staff. Great views. Will be back.
Very nice
Greens, tee boxes and fairways in perfect condition. Holes aren’t real long but landing areas are tight, need to choose your tee club wisely. Will be back!
Greens recently aerated and GolfNow ‘’deal’ was $20 higher than course was charging in the pro shop
Well, it would have been nice to know that the greens were recently aerated. Added to that frustration is that GolfNow special ‘deal’ was $80 which was $20 more than course was charging in the pro shop. I felt foolish getting the tee time and locking in a price that was 30% higher that the people I ended up playing with that day.
GolfNow should give a credit when the course is in bad shape and they are offering regular (bad) prices for the tee times.
