About
The Crystal Coast Country Club sits along the Bogue Sound, sprawling across sand dunes and weaving through the Maritime Forest. The club boasts the only golf course on the 21-mile island of Pine Knolls Shores. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course doesn't have the length that some other championship layouts have but there are still plenty of challenges in store. In addition to bunkers that are strategically placed along the small greens and narrow fairways, water comes into play on 13 holes. Though there are some tight spots that can be tough to navigate, the golf course is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Regardless of ability, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery, especially on the back nine where you'll have the best views of the Sound.

One of the best courses in area. Greens, tee boxes, and fairways were all in great shape.

Been coming here my whole life. Amazing place to play.
Carts don’t work well
Greens are very good. Smooth and fast. Tees and fairways are decent. Fairways are thin for a Country Club. Carts are a problem. My cart told me to get back on the cart path when I was in the middle of the fairway on the 150 yard marker. At one point , it stopped me and told me to get on the cart path when I was on the cart path.

It was great. I’m actually Rick’s son, he made me do the review. I rather enjoyed it. The one par five starting at the water, number 12 I believe, ate me up cause I hit a fade and I had zero angle so that made me sad but the course is beautiful and a lot of fun. Will be back
Great condition
Course was in great condition. Greens rolled true and were in great condition. Fairways were almost blemish free. Course is narrow so accuracy is key. Highly recommend especially if you are able to get a hot deal

Conditions were amazing . Tees, fairways greens immaculate. I’m planning my return.

The course is not long but tight with plenty of hazards. You might want to leave your driver in the car.
Couldn’t play back 9
For starters, as we finished playing front 9 and headed to #10 hole, we were told the back nine was closed because the golf course was hosting a wedding! No advance notification about the back 9 being closed, or we would have chosen a different course that day. Friends flew in from New York for a few days of golf, so very disappointing. Pro Shop said they could not offer any type of refund, since we booked through third party, GolfNow. Staff made very little effort to find an acceptable solution. No beverage on the course, and it was a nice, sunny day. There was barely any water on the course to drink, and it tasted disgusting. So, we paid full price to play 9 holes.
fun course, great shape
Have played this course many times over the last 30 years and the last couple years it has been in the best shape it has ever been. Great course for all players, but add a little breeze and even good players will be challenged to shoot a low score. Fairways are very nice...traps are immaculate...and greens are consistent and smooth.
Excellent course, should play if in area.
Old school, tight layout, driving straight a premium, longer or 4 holes give more room, but par fives demand accuracy. Net/net exactly as advertised. Enjoy your day at the beach!

I had a great time playing this course. It’s narrow…and while I’m new…I do hit straight! Lost a few balls to the neighbors yards. Good people. Beautiful course and great conditions. Thank you!
Nice course on the water
Was on a family vacation on Emerald Isle and wanted to play a course on the water. Course has nice views of the inter coastal. The lady in the pro shop was not inviting and seemed like I was bothering her by being there??? The starter was nice and pointed me in the right direction. Course is not long but tight requiring accuracy. Overall a good test and enjoyed the round.
Great place to play while vacationing at Emerald Isle, Atlantic Beach, etc..
Great course to play. Staff was friendly, clubhouse has been recently remodeled since the last time I played at CCCC. The course was in good shape. Very tight layout and the Bermuda greens are small and fast. Keep the driver in the bag and use your course guide to find the hazards - lots of water. The layout is different but with the amount of land available they did a great job. I had the pleasure of meeting the GM and his son. They were very nice and accommodating. Definitely will play again next year.
