About
The Crystal Coast Country Club sits along the Bogue Sound, sprawling across sand dunes and weaving through the Maritime Forest. The club boasts the only golf course on the 21-mile island of Pine Knolls Shores. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course doesn't have the length that some other championship layouts have but there are still plenty of challenges in store. In addition to bunkers that are strategically placed along the small greens and narrow fairways, water comes into play on 13 holes. Though there are some tight spots that can be tough to navigate, the golf course is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Regardless of ability, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery, especially on the back nine where you'll have the best views of the Sound.

Golfer Reviews
Nice Course
They had just punched the greens when we played so that wasn’t great, but the course was nice with some cool hole views.
Beautiful course
Our group really enjoyed our afternoon on the course. The condition of the course was excellent, and the pace of play was fine... No waiting for a group in front and no pressure from behind.
Friendly staff
Excellent course good fun with holes over water etc great condition no complaints great course for holiday golf . Staff all very friendly and helpful Glen the pro quite a character would definitely go back.
A lot has changed
A few years ago you could play this course for under $40 granted it was in bad shape. Now that it's a real semi-private club and in much better shape the rates go up every year. $100 to play this course in the afternoon is a bit steep in my opinion.
It's not an easy course so I wish they did a better job of marking some of the blind hazards and I wasn't a fan of the way the greens rolled.
Pace of play was also pretty bad...they had a foursome, 2 groups of singles and a twosome playing in front of me as single. How hard would it be to pair these groups up???
Short Course
Really enjoyed this course. It was recently updated and was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The course is a little short and narrow. Greens are hard and roll true. Would like to see a black tee box to extend the game a little bit.
Best in area
By far the best course in a 50mile radius. The course is immaculate from tee to green. GPS carts help guide you through the course. The course will test your accuracy as it is not terribly long however; it is quite narrow. Highly recommend.
Enjoyable
Course was short but I’m pretty good shape. Wasn’t able to play holes 10 and 11 because of a wedding…? Seems like we should’ve gotten some form of refund.
Must play.
Course is in great shape w/stunning views. Tight little track but relax and have fun.
Crystal Coast
I played with my son on vacation. The course was in excellent condition. It was challenging for sure. Made some great memories with my son. Making it an annual event.
Great course
Great course, probably the best in the area. Minus a a couple of fairways getting repaired the course was in great shape. Some pace of play issues, but not any fault of the staff or course. Highly recommend to anyone in area.
Course has made great improvements with new ownership.
Yes, play this course
Great short track with tight fairways and lotsa water. The course was in good shape, the greens were FAST and true. The grass is cut very short so you get a lot of tight lies around the greens. Staff was friendly and the pace was good.
Tees and greens are in great shape.
This is a coastal course with Sandy soil and bent grass greens. Tight fairways with bunkers. Glad I played here.
Beautiful course
This is is a beautiful course. The staff are always friendly . The layout is challenging but not overly hard for us mid range handicapers! We play here whenever we can find a deal on Golf now otherwise it can be a bit pricey!
