About
The Crystal Coast Country Club sits along the Bogue Sound, sprawling across sand dunes and weaving through the Maritime Forest. The club boasts the only golf course on the 21-mile island of Pine Knolls Shores. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course doesn't have the length that some other championship layouts have but there are still plenty of challenges in store. In addition to bunkers that are strategically placed along the small greens and narrow fairways, water comes into play on 13 holes. Though there are some tight spots that can be tough to navigate, the golf course is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy. Regardless of ability, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful scenery, especially on the back nine where you'll have the best views of the Sound.

Great course
Great course, probably the best in the area. Minus a a couple of fairways getting repaired the course was in great shape. Some pace of play issues, but not any fault of the staff or course. Highly recommend to anyone in area.
Course has made great improvements with new ownership.

Yes, play this course
Great short track with tight fairways and lotsa water. The course was in good shape, the greens were FAST and true. The grass is cut very short so you get a lot of tight lies around the greens. Staff was friendly and the pace was good.
Tees and greens are in great shape.
This is a coastal course with Sandy soil and bent grass greens. Tight fairways with bunkers. Glad I played here.
Beautiful course
This is is a beautiful course. The staff are always friendly . The layout is challenging but not overly hard for us mid range handicapers! We play here whenever we can find a deal on Golf now otherwise it can be a bit pricey!

Not for big bombers. Tight fairways, and the course makes you think about each shot. Excellent condition and staff!
Danger of hitting houses and people
First time on course and staff was amazing!! Fun course if you hit a straight ball, but anxiety producing if you hook or slice as the fairways have houses right on top of them.
When you don't have houses, you have fairways on either side so care must be taken so you don't hit someone or damage property. I found laying off the power helped at the cost of distance, but I was okay with that. Still, I would play this course again, because it's beautiful, challenging, and the staff is top notch!
