Greens were the only good thing
Greens were the only good thing - left a lot to be desired as far as fairway and rough maintenance. Layout is alright, average at best.

Quality
The staff, including the superintendent and within the pro shop, are consistently courteous and professional. The course is challenging, especially the greens and playing from the tips, but we always enjoy our round, regardless of our scorecards.

Beautiful greens.
The greens are in amazing shape with the exception of one green. The fairways really need work but you could move your ball a few feet to find decent grass to hit from. All in all with my golf now hot deal it was a great price so no complaints!!

Terrible Starter, Pace and Course
I’ve played Heddingham a few times and this was by far the worst condition all around. Green and fairways were in bad shape. Not to mention the starter literally had us tee off directly into the group in front. No chef on staff for food (this is the third time that’s happen). For the money, any other place in Raleigh is better.

Great Value, Friendly People
I've played this course a few times and plan to keep going back. My son got lessons there and it's been a great place for him to learn. I'm just getting back into the game after a 20 yr. hiatus so it's been a good place for me to find my rhythm.
The staff is very friendly, as are the other golfers we've encountered. Everyone especially likes seeing a young kid on the course. I was worried he would be loud or we would move too slow, but we let people play through when necessary and most folks just seem really enthusiastic watching him.
The course layout is a lot of fun. I played some private courses in the past and Hedingham's layout is just as good. The greens and fairways are in decent shape and seem to be improving over time.
The driving range needs some work, and it looks like they're addressing that now. The picker is constantly down, so that's been a bummer. Otherwise, I love this place.

Good Value
I have played here several times and find it to be a good value, the range is forever out of golf balls and I cant figure out haw this has not been addressed

Good layout and course, great staff
It had been some time since I had the opportunity to play at Hedingham. The course was in decent shape given the fairly tough summer. Overall it was very playable. A few of the greens had some very bad places in them but other than that they were good. The greens appeared to have been recently verticut and top dressed within the past couple weeks but had filled in nicely. They putted true and rolled well. The remainder of the course was in fair condition. A few tee boxes needed some attention. The staff was great. Friendly and helpful. Pace of play was good. Overall it was a good experience. I do believe the greens fee were a little to high given the conditions. I will play again but will be looking for deals or a better price.

Fun Course with some challenge
I know some people do not like this course due to it winding through a neighborhood. But none of the houses are all that close and it has some very interesting holes. I especially like the 9th which is a fairly short par 5 but takes 3 good shots to score well.
Course has a couple of narrow holes, but no worse than most courses. But because the course winds through a neighbor hood there are no holes running next to another hole. So you never have someone in your fairway from an errant shot.
Fairways, greens and tee boxes all in pretty good shape. Rough is variable but always playable.
Price is very good. Surprised this course does not get more play.

Quick playing, fun course
I was paired with a member- great time playing- After we teed off #1 we never saw a golfer in front or behind us. Made for a very pleasant round.
