Slick Greens
Layout pretty solid, although overall it's a long and straight course. Highlight was the greens, which were fast and in good shape except for a few spots of rot on the edges of a couple of them. Traps have actual sand in them which was a plus. Tee boxes were in pretty rough shape as far as how much grass there was and the fairways were somewhat sparse but it's still early in the year. Overall in the FSC rotation I'd play Eagle Ridge and Riverwood before this course but I'm certainly planning on coming back in a month or so to see what the fairways look like. Staff in the clubhouse were courteous and helpful.

Needs Help
Lots of reasons to stay away right now. Tee boxes are bad, limited grass on fairways, no drinks or the ability to get food, the driving range needs help.

Greens are perfect
Greens roll true. Fairways are still thin but I expect that will improve as the weather gets warmer.

Below Average Course - Neighborhood is a Circus
Played 9 holes here late afternoon. The course is in subpar condition - burnt out fairways, shallow bunkers, hardpan. The real issue with this course however is the neighborhood. Residents made playing here a circus.
Truly. On several holes there were children on the fairway literally goading us and taunting us to hit them with our tee shots. Other holes, residents walked on, dropped balls and started playing the hole as we were playing it. Children riding bikes through holes as we were playing. People pushing strollers. Totally ridiculous. As dusk rolled around, still plenty of light as we finished up and we were heading toward the clubhouse a resident actually shouted at us from over his chest high fence that we were going to go to jail... for what, we had no idea. He was only 10 feet from the cart path. I couldn't imagine playing 18 holes here. Quite literally the only time I've played a course and thought we could possibly be shot or assaulted. Stay clear of this course. There are plenty of other safe places to play in the Raleigh area.

Giant dirt partch
Thankfully, the greens are in decent condition, but nearly every fairway and tee box is just tore up. Best fairway is hardened burnt out grass, worst fairway is littered with large areas of dirt

Mostly great!
My only suggestion is a bit more support with pace of play, especially regarding players that walk rather than ride. Otherwise, one of my favorite courses. Inspires me to work on my putting!

Unlike some other courses in the area,at least they are trying to improve the course. Still have a ways to go, so I hope they keep working on it.

Great value for the money
Course was in pretty good shape, especially considering it’s winter and we just had a week of rain. Greens were quick, but consistent. Bunkers were packed down and a couple fairways had some erosion.
Cart-path is in great shape, signage was pretty accurate. Clubhouse staff was friendly and my Turkey Club sandwich at the grill was one of the best clubhouse meals I’ve had.
Will definitely play again.
