Very bad shape
The overall course is in very bad shape. 12 holes don't have grass on the tee box. The same are the fairways. Or if you have grass on the fairway it's 2" long. The greens are the worst I have ever seen. These are no greens. And bad is too that the stuff are saying the course is good. That's a big lie. Unfortunately I paid $30 to play. I wouldn't even pay $10. Someone should write something about course conditions. It was just a bad day and a wast of time.
Disappointing
Very disappointed about the condition of the course. Front side greens were in poor shape. Number 9 green should be condemned; it looked like a dry lake bed. Tee boxes were bad as well. I think I saw 3 water coolers, 2 ball washers, and maybe 2 garbage cans on the entire course. I know they have a new pro here now so hopefully he can turn things around. I have also heard they are redoing the cart paths sometime this year. The sooner the better but that money might be better spent getting the course playable.
just not a good course, bad layout, the greens were not good, they were really bad on the back 9, fairways not in good shape.
Rough
Poor grass no grass no signs where to go only 150 markers
Horrible Experience
Fairways barely had any grass. Most greens weren't in horrible shape but a few were essentially mud. Tee boxes were packed dirt, no grass. Half of the outer edge of the fairways was mostly sand and pine needles. I doubt I would ever play this again. Got a great deal at 25 for 18 but I wouldn't even pay 10 for a round here
Course is in mediocre shape at best. Greens are actually pretty decent like other Fred smith company courses I've played. Fairways are not good at all. I'm surprised the carts are still in one piece due to the shape of the cart path if you have back issues don't ride there. Played two days prior no real issues return again and older man working behind the counter was in a horrible mood not accommodating not welcoming even my friend made mention before I said something. Had ice two days prior yet because I'm playing on a hot deal suddenly never had no ice. You would think with a course that appears to barely the hanging on as this one appears you want to work even harder to gain customers. Will not return.
Fairways? We don't need no stinkin fairways...
After two straight weekends of passing up this course for longer drives, I decided to give this place a try. Range is a little short for longer hitters (fence is 290), especially on a day when the range was downwind. The bucket prices for medium and large are ridiculous ($10 and $15). Range grass is in decent shape. The putting green is a foreshadowing of how bumpy the greens are on the course. Remember watching those slow-motion replays of Tiger putting on the poa annua greens at Torrey Pines in the 08 US Open where his ball bounced all over the place? That's what they're like out here, but far worse. There were a couple greens that barely had any grass on them at all. Of the ones in decent shape, they're relatively quick. Speaking of grass, there is almost no grass on the fairways. It's awful. It's smarter to hit in the "rough," which at least has some resemblance of grass. If the fairways are like this in April or May, the super should be fired. Same with many of the tee boxes. Layout is relatively easy. A couple of blind shots here and there. For those concerned about the houses, the course really isn't that tight unless you're routinely spraying your tee shots 30 or 40 yards left or right. Pace of play was good for going off around 12:30pm on a Saturday. There was a single ahead of us who took off and we didn't hit another group until 15. However, that group we hit was four ladies who were stuck behind a 5some. Whoever allowed those groups to go out like that wasn't the brightest crayon in the box. If I recall correctly, there is ONE working ball cleaner on the course. The rest are broken or have no cleaning solution in them. Overall, course isn't difficult and it's a good place to go low, especially with three par 5s on the back. Undulations on the greens provide a challenge, especially if you're above the hole, and a chance to get the ball close with your wedges. If you can get it for under $20, yeah, give it a shot. Anything more than that, especially until the fairways come in, and it's not worth it.
Great value
Played a around for $20 on a Friday. The course was in excellent condition considering the time of year. The layout is nice and is located in an interesting location. Just remember you can't take golf carts in the parking lot here.
Nice greens - fun course
Greens are in amazing shape - course can be very tight with houses on every hole. For the money - a good course to play
