I like the course and layout. But since I'm doing this full review... pace of play is almost always slow. Earlier this year the course was looking really good. Fairways are burnt now which I could understand because of lack of rain. What bothers me is some of the tee boxes are dilapidated and I only ever see an attempt at maintainence once a year? I noticed #9 fairway is getting pretty eaten up on the right side, big craters need work.

The biggest bother is they are ALWAYS out of range balls. No one goes to collect any until they are totally out. Maybe they shouldn't let these young kids run entire golf courses on the weekends. Maybe they need an adult that can decide when you're down to X amount of balls it's time to go sweep them up. It's not rocket science. Then they won't wash the balls half the time because they aren't smart enough to go rake them up so they skip washing to get balls to everyone waiting.

The course was generally in good shape, with the fairways a bit brown because of the heat and recent fertilizing. The greens were slow and somewhat inconsistent. They have been recently aerated and the grass was a bit long contributing to the challenges on the green The pace of play was excellent and it was a very enjoyable round in the heat.

I like the course. It's got some interesting holes and the greens are in fantastic shape. VERY QUICK!!! but they roll true. My main complaint are some of the bozo people that play out there. Almost 5 hours for a round on a Thursday morning is rough!

Very nice golf course. Tricky getting around as course in in the middle of a golf community. Hazards are tricky for first timers. Fairways and greens are fantastic

Long, tight course. Greens were in good condition. Fun layout. Great value.

The improvements and care for course is evident. Greens are growing in from aeration, which is July in the Carolina’s. I played here years ago and I had gotten better. The only bad mark is some of the surrounding areas on back nine housing looking very suspect and maybe they could fence in or wall up so golfers don’t have the uncomfortable feeling. Very playable.

Pace of play was below average. Very slow foursome in front of us (threesom) and very fast twosome behind us. No ranger in sight. Bunker with zero sand - only dried mud. Just a rake from the grounds crew would be nice.

Not sure where the disconnect is between the course and Golf Now, but I had an e-mail confirmation that the rate for 9 holes was $26. When we got there to pay, we were told that there is no 9 hole rate on weekends and that we had to pay $37 for 18 holes even though that's not what we signed up for on Golf Now and only played 9. We were not happy with that result.

Overall I would play here again. Starting with the staff, they were friendly and helpful in getting me pointing in the right direction for golf cart, driving range and starting tee box. The tee boxes were rough with lots of turf damage (still very usable) and we’re rock hard. My partner and I broke tees a few times trying to get them pushed in the ground. The fairway were in great shape overall. There is construction on several bunkers and with home construction around the course, I think it was 15 or 16 that had a temporary cart path.That fairway had some bare patches. The greens were in great shape. Hard and fast which ate my lunch with my poor putting. I really enjoyed the overall layout of the course with many challenging holes. This course isn’t perfect but you’re also not paying for perfect. They’re working to make it better and I think it’ll be an even better course once they’re done. I do think the course is worth playing again and would recommend to others. I gave 4 stars due to the condition of the tee boxes, bunkers and construction.

Course looked like it hadn’t seen water since 2022. Greens were fast but in decent shape. It’s a decent layout just not well kept.

I had my 11th eagle ever. Lots of birdies! Played 2v2 captains choice shot 67 on 6/7/23 cart number 23.😜
