Good track
Fun track. Enjoyable and playable. Great for family golf as it’s not terribly long.
RGA
Fun golf course with a good mix of difficulty levels. Good value for thr greens fees.
Greens in bad shape
I know it’s off season but the greens were extremely poor. Had to just say auto 2 putt once on green.
Good value
Short track even from the tips. First few holes had some rough greens. Great for playing with beginner golfers and people looking to play with just irons.
Good course but slow
It’s a great course to go out and have some fun with friends but make sure you’re being patient they are usually packed full.
Great first time experience! My new favorite!
What a great Sunday morning game. Staff was friendly, organized and helpful. First time on this course- loved the design, conditions yet wished it had a driving range. The chipping and putting practice greens were properly challenging.
Cannot wait to play at RGA again!
Quality for the time of year
It was a Sunday morning round that I booked the night before. The weather was 45 degrees at the beginning of play and about 55 by the time we were done. Fairways were in good shape for Central NC in late November. Greens had been punched recently and were in good shape, other than a few areas that were dead. We were told to play them as area under repair, and for the most part they didn't cause us any issues. We were allowed to play the members back 9 which we found was in great shape and offered us a bit more challenge. Overall, 3.5 stars, for a public course in November 4 stars. I plan to go back and play some more this winter, and I recommend that if you are in the South Raleigh area that you check it out.
Eh…
If you understand it’s a 40+ year old course and you can get past the first two greens then it’s not a bad track. For $36 on a Sunday midday it’s fair. The layout is fine not spectacular. Requires accuracy off the tee on most holes although there are a few green light holes where it’s worth the risk. Don’t think I’ve ever played it where it wasn’t a full tee sheet so don’t plan on a sub 4 hour round. Won’t happen.
