Too many weeds
We had not been to RGA since last year, when we had played several times. We were very disappointed in the conditions. There were many weeds (crabgrass?) around and in the greens. It was difficult to put without having the weeds change to course of the ball. The staff was great, and overall we like the layout, though wish they had a driving range.
One and done
First and last time playing RGA. Only one visible yardage marker inside of 150 yards on entire 18....and we looked for them. Guess and hope for the best on anything -125. Greens were shredded as nobody repairs ball marks (not staff's fault but I would be reminding peeps on 1st tee from starter). Wanted to enjoy a cold beverage after the round and ended up sitting on 1st tee as there is no seating inside clubhouse. I know it was built in 20s but keep up with the times. One and done on this course.
Great friendly course
RGA is a great course. It is challenging, yet not so difficult that it isn't fun to play.
Great potential course
Course was in overall below average condition. Seems they are loosing some greens. Tee boxes just redone are in need of water. Pact of play was sloooow. Saw ranger twice, once on 1st tee will he was having conversation with starter and once parked on course will a theesome slowed everyone up. By back nine there was a two hole gap between them and group ahead of them.
New To Area
Great course for slightly higher handicappers. Nice to be able to get a couple of pars instead of struggling to get a bogie on some other local courses. Course was in good condition for serious dry and hot weather conditions. Plan on playing this course many times again.
It were ok had some people in front of us that were very slow.
Going downhill
The course was in good shape a couple years ago but it has been going downhill. The greens are diseased with ball marks, fairways are good but the rough is riddled with dirt patches with rocks
Good pace
The Course is always in good condition. Staff is always friendly. Good people. Nice pace. Good round.
Nice day
Short course with some water in play. Fairways were nice, greens were ok, rough was barren along the fairways and deep around the greens. All in all a nice day. Good pace of play and friendly staff. I would play there again if I ever get back to the area.
Dependable, friendly, wish they offered Sr. Rates.
Pleasantly surprised
A bit of a short course but was surprisingly fun. Inexpensive and a very friendly staff. I will play again
Pace of play
The course has greened up nicely after he recent rains, the greens were smooth with few defects. However the pace of play was very slow. This is mainly due to players walking the course, especially the foursomes. Being a Monday this could have been a factor. Next time I'll play another day of the week .
Save your money!
The greens are unplayable. Normally I enjoy playing this course, but it is in such poor shape that I will not play there again. There was a disclaimer about greens condition, but it was not nearly as descriptive as it should have been. The course should be closed until the repairs are completed.
